If we draft a rookie QB he makes perfect sense for us. This dude is still a game changer if he has a legit QB to take pressure off him.

I think a contender goes after him but I wouldn't be mad if he came here.

Sorry, but those statements are contradictory.  I agree with the second part, but that doesn't mesh with the first.  Usually you need a solid running to take pressure off a rookie QB.  Henry still has it, no doubt, but he's high priced and high mileage, neither of which I'm down with.

We just got rid of one very expensive RB.  Probably not in a hurry to sign another one.  Production from the RB position can be had so cheaply, in so many ways today that I dont see why any team would hand out a huge contract to one.

I wouldn't be in favor of it, but you never know.

I’d rather we wait and see what the Colts may do with Jonathan Taylor. An article a few weeks back (no link) expects them to try and trade him. He’d be worth a 3rd rounder at best and would add another strong runner to complement Hubbard if it happened. JMO

Plus he's not really a part of the receiving game, though it has happened in spurts. With the multifaceted RBs coming out of college, being able to be part of the passing game is essential for these older backs. It's one reason I'm not a huge fan of Chuba. Dude has hands of stone.

Too many miles, too much wear and tear and getting old in RB years.  Not too mention the money he would require.  The days of the 'bell cow' RB are over.  Sure, it's still around, but rarer as time goes on. Plus, plenty of FAs and a deep draft this year at RB.

Hard pass.

He needs to go to Buffalo for a mid pick and Tenn will probably have to eat most of that contract...

This is probably why we want make a decision about moving up in the draft sooner vs later.  It really lets us know how to address FA with potential holes in our roster.  Our first 4 picks (2 in the 2nd) right now could be potential starters....

Yeah I agree.  Let him walk.  Our OL did a great job in run blocking last year.  Just draft someone like Tank Bigsby in the 4th round and roll with him, Chuba, and a cheap vet.

    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
    • Didn’t get around to watching this one but looks like Pistons played their starters and actually tried…? Unlucky that they sit vs Magic, etc and try vs us. Hopefully we can beat the Heat and then Magic or 6ers with no Embiid. BUT if not, the NBA really should give us the lottery win this year like they did Mavs last year. Another high pick could be our final missing piece and have us as legit top contenders next year and going forward if we’re healthy. Or trade it for a Giannis type
