Cam Newton would have been beloved if he played for Cowboys

Steve Smith would have been considered a top 5 WR of all time and a HOF if he played for the 49ers or Chiefs

Luke Kuechly would be considered one of the best middle LBs of all time if he had played for Steelers or the Ravens

DJ Moore was never even talked about until this trade, suddenly the Bears got themselves a top 5 WR.  LOL

There are exceptions to this, but of course, the pundits are mostly lazy and only research their talking points for the big market teams.  The lack of intelligent analysis and insights are shocking.  

Panthers didn't get fleeced in the trade, if anything they came out slightly ahead in terms of value analysis.  But all that anyone talks about is how smart their GM is, the same GM who traded a 2nd rounder for Chase Claypool, LMAO.

Steve and Luke get a ton of credit and are/were always highly regarded, so while I don't disagree with the general point your inclusion of those two undercuts it.

Also, Carolina has sucked in a boring way (nothing like the Jags/Meyer circus, Hue in Cleveland, etc) while DJ has been in the league and crappy teams don't tend to get attention. Nothing really new there.

Steve and Luke get the minimal credits, they can't be ignored completely, but you're delusional if you don't think they would have been put on much higher pedestal if they played in bigger markets

Obviously he is not Hill or Jefferson or Chase. But the onus is on us to not only replace him but considering we discarded him we must find an even better replacement. Trading him was the easy part.

I think he's somewhere in between, he is a below average WR#1 because he doesn't dominate and barely scores touchdowns.

And I think that both will ultimately achieve the highest honor, as they should, regardless of where they played. Hell, NFL types give them their props right now. At the end of the day that's really all that matters. Once you're in the HOF, you're in the HOF.

      I encourage you to go back and watch his college play. Notice how he immediately backpedals to 10 yards behind the LOS on almost every snap. You can't do that in the NFL. Your OTs have no chance of keeping those freak show edge rushers off of you. You can't create a pocket that deep. Bryce can chuck it when he has an airport runway in front of him to step up into. There's a reason why "ease of creating velocity" is such a talking point evaluating QBs. It's not how hard or how far you can throw the ball given a perfect situation. It's how hard and how far you can throw the ball in a typical NFL game situation and that's where a lot of my concerns with Bryce were going into the draft. There were way too many plays in his college tape that if you were watching that purely in terms of translating it to the NFL it just didn't work.

      Yeah, like I said I get it. From a revenue perspective I'm not a good customer for them. They've probably intentionally tanked offline franchise mode to try to get people online. Again, not a terrible strategy from a pure business perspective. I can't really be mad at them for doing what's good for business but yeah, from my perspective it still sucks.

      Ok let me be more specific. Smith was a stud before Newton got here do you not agree? Yes, LaFell improved under Cam but then had his best years after leaving the Panthers with Cam as the QB and going to NE. So he improved playing with someone else. Olsen was in Chicage the year before Cam arrived and statistically had the same numbers his first year with Cam.  Hope that's clearer for you.
