The Young talk is valid. He's definitely very possible, though all reliable sources say the decision isn't made yet.

That said, on the occasion of the Texans offering a decent package to trade up, do the Panthers take it?

If the offer's good enough, I think they do.

Mind you, that doesn't make the Young discussion a smokescreen. It's just the acknowledgment of another possibility.

Yeah you are correct any of them could bust.  I guess I mean the NFL wouldn't be shocked if we draft Young first.  In fact it's almost expected it will be him or Stroud.

Is there a precedent for this? A team trades up to 1 for a QB and then trades out of it to recoup picks and let another team make the decision for them. I understand they inquired with Arizona and Seattle for their respective picks, so it indicates they may be comfortable with several of the Qbs in this class. 

IMO, it comes off as trying to get two dimes for a quarter.

To me stating we were ok with trading up to 3, but the price so similar to 1 so we just did 1 shows we are comfortable with several prospects.  Also the fact that we still haven't decided who we are drafting kind of shows the same thing.  If that is truly the case and the Texans really like one vs the other then it makes sense to me.  It's a lot of "ifs" though.

      He is a QB, on a rookie deal and Cousins is old coming off an achilles injury. Which QB they got is the part that is highly debatable if it was good. Yeah they could have used that on more tallent but Cousins doesn't win in the postseason so it wouldn't matter anyways. Chances are good they take the NFCS regardless this year or it goes back to a Bucs team that just breaks .500.
