Yeah we should get a 6 foot 5 QB who is built like a DE. He will definitely last many years in the nfl with that body type just like Cam did. Meanwhile look at how long Drew Brees played in the league

Drew Brees didn’t have a dumbass of a coach treating his QB like a battering  ram.

True. I love cam and will always be a huge supporter but still making the point that size is not always a factor in long term health in the NFL. Smitty outlasted many who were bigger than him and he had some vicious collisions over the years

Smitty wasn't a pencil though.

Yeah people keep getting hung up on the height aspect of dudes being “smaller” where I’m more concerned about their weight for the most part. There’s plenty of light WRs because they typically get tackled by a guy weighing 200-210 and they know the hit is coming. With a QB there’s too many times a blindside hit or low hit happens.

This guy would END him. I just don't have the appetite for watching a Panthers QB get mauled.

I'm trying to wrap my mind around the logic of because Cam got his throwing shoulder destroyed within the pocket that means if we draft the smallest QB in the NFL he'll play 15 seasons.

I personally have been watching as many interviews and anything else to a sense of Bryce Young the man.  And…damn you aren’t going to find a more articulate gentleman anywhere.  He is incredibly impressive.  He is the complete package for me.  He will dominate and even better lead a franchise as a person

    • At this point, I think Chubba is the odd man out. I hate that, but I think Dowdle gives us more production and big play ability.  But there is still a lot of football to play.  I think it depends on how much Dowdle will want too.
    • I’ve been anti-trade when it comes to Melo, but the way this season has started, it may be time.  I love his game and he’s a cool dude, but I’m starting to think, if he’s your best player, you’re never going to win anything of significance.  Too many brain farts, too many injuries, and ultimately for as fun and entertaining as he is to watch - his game is indeed a thing of beauty - it just doesn’t translate to wins.  And that’s IF he even plays.  I think it’s time to cash out and maximize the return.  I love Melo, but I think it’s pretty clear what the ceiling is for a team where he is the best player.
    • Every NFL team, college program, hell even HS has numerous "what ifs" that got derailed by injury. It's a brutal sport and half the battle is just getting lucky enough to stay healthy. Doesn't matter how durable you are and how well you take care of your body everyone is one weird hit or awkward twist away from a career derailing injury.
