On paper it looks that way, but something tells me we owe them from last year. They just don’t seem as heavy on hits, as last year. We need to drub Trouba though, I haven’t forgot about Jarvis.

Lindy Ruff is a friggin' Dinosaur who brings Dinosaur thinking.

His response to the Devils losing Game 1 was not having the Devils focus on getting back to what got them there but to DOUBLE-DOWN on "Physicality" at the expense of their identity.

The result :

The entire team STUNK

 

GM Fitzgerald better jettison this old fart this offseason and promote Brunette. 

The Devils I think reached as far as this old fossil could take them (though I do believe they won IN SPITE of him).

I still don’t understand why he continued to play Blackwood down the stretch. Carolina tried to give the division away and stuff wouldn’t take it.

Conventional wisdom was the team overachieved during the regular season and wasn't supposed to be this good for another year or 2.

That being said, I was at least hoping the Devils could lean on the Rags a little and wear them out, but they're making this pretty easy and NY might be sitting at home, resting up, and waiting to see who they face next.
