4-2 Florida

Keep it going, us southern teams have to stick together , the northern and Canadian elite still don't think we belong

I know, it’s funny even though the lightning made it to the finals 3 times in a row and won the cup 2 of those times and then the panthers and canes records. It’s like they don’t even know the Canes have a bunch of players from Finland, NC.

Lmao... Pavelski with 4 goals, Domi with 3 assists and even a Hakinpaa sighting... you'd think Dallas was dominating.

Unfortunately Oettenger went full on swiss cheese!

Wait till tomorrow night?, it will be the glorious Devils vs the ignorant red necks who don't know the difference between a clothesline and a blue line

What's so glorious about the Devils?

"glorious" were the Rags and they got their "glorious" asses kicked out of the arena and onto the Golf course.

Make no mistake...the National Media HATES this matchup because there is no BIG Market to leech money off of.

There isn't a "big market" team left in the playoffs. Matter of fact, a few didn't even make the playoffs (Washington, Pittsburgh).

And NHL markets are far different than, say, NFL or MLB markets. The Kings are in a big market, but that doesn't mean they draw TV ratings.

And, the NHL has major bandwagon markets (Rags, Pens, Caps).

Does anyone else find this whole ticket master Florida panthers blocking Canadians thing hilarious. Everyone in the media is acting shocked like it never happened before, they do realize this happens in every playoff of every sport right? Everyone geoblocks on the first round of sales.

it's so ridiculous. Secondary market doesn't restrict. Every team does it. The Rangers fans went off on us last year for posting something and the Yankees do it. Just outright hypocrisy on anyone that criticizes it.  Home team has every right to do what they can to restrict away fans from at least buying up front. There are probably plenty of Leafs fan Sunrise residents who will have no restrictions. The rest can pay secondary market prices or stay home.

Didn't watch OT and didn't see the Kraken's first goal, but not sure any goalie was stopping goals 2, 3, or 4 for the Kraken. 2 was terrible D from the Stars after a turnover (all 5 players close to the left boards) and Schultz sniped it top left shelf after a wide open cross crease pass. Goals 3 and 4 were crazy deflections that would be borderline impossible reactions to make to save (honestly, the only way to save them would probably be being out of position). Honestly, I thought Otter made some really good saves in the 2nd and early 3rd when Dallas was mostly on the defensive.

Dallas folded like a house of cards to the Kraken forecheck in the first and their terrible turnovers/positioning gave the Kraken most of their goals.

I checked the box score and it looked like they scored 3 in 3 mins? That will quiet a home crowd

    • Just as we won those close games we could have just as easily lost them. So the jury is out on if we were more lucky than good ( see the sweep by the saints) Were moving forward on paper. And how badly dont we all want to see us back to at least Above average form. Its about time.
    • If you're looking for a pat on the back it sounds good in theory until you realize they also had the 2023 Panthers as the top draft class.
    • Going into the 2003 and 2015 seasons we were supposed to be the joke of the league each time. In 2003, John Fox was supposed to still be in rebuild mode. We had a guy named Peppers on the defensive line who was supposed to be pretty good. We had Rodney Peete as our starting QB and a line that was a lot of hope and not much experience. Our new running back was a guy the Redskins, errrr Commanders, had jettisoned for being too old. We had a good kicker and writers thought that was needed because there were going to be more field goals than touch downs. Heck, it looked like they were right up until just before halftime of that first game when we had to yank Rodney Peete and put in some Cajun duded whose name couldn't be pronounced. And Steve Smith? He wasn't Smitty yet. Moose Muhammad, well, he was close to being written off as a bust. You know how that turned out. And then in 2015, we had Cam Newton, who was electrifying to watch but hadn't really won anything yet. There was an offensive line in front of him that looked like it was made in a defunct Swiss cheese factory and our big hope on offense was the great Kelvin Benjamin. And then he got taken out for the year with a knee injury in training camp. Ted "Feet of Lightning, Hands of Stone" Ginn became our default go to guy beside our next best hope, yeah, Devin Funchess. Our defense was pretty good, a scrappy bunch with frikkin' awesome linebacker play and a cornerback who had done more than drank the Kool-Aid, but had snorted the powder. He played like a superhero and became sort of a bat-man during the season. By the Super Bowl he had completely lost his freaking mind, though, and managed to talk his way out of a contract with the team next year. No one was expecting us to win the NFCSouth that season, much less almost go undefeated and into the Super Bowl. So, 2026? Who knows? But our best seasons came when no one had a reason to believe in us, except us.
