Well the Bryce Young trade / selection is the move that will define Reich's time here.

If it's a success, lovely. If he's a failure then he's fired in 2 years.

Yeah that’s kinda what I didn’t like about hiring the all star staff plus trading up. But that’s one of the downsides of losing for so long is ownership/fans are short on patience.

Yep. They said the same thing in the Thursday night press conference. It was said by a few of us here that despite what they were saying to the press they knew who they wanted even before making the trade.

The Panthers played the # 1 overall selection to the public and other NFL teams like a fine tuned violin by keeping the draft card selection close to their vest..

Lots of people, including myself,  thought C.J. Stroud would be the pick, but as it kept getting closer and closer to draft time we had figured out that Bryce Young would be the choice.

A lot of people believed every "leak" and report from the Panthers up to the last week or so when all the rumors changed to Young. A lot of people also made too big of a deal out of the OSU pro day photos that came out as well as when the betting odds shifted. For further proof, just look at what happened a few days ago with the Levis rumor and the betting odds shifting again for a few hours.

    • Who were we going to trade up with? The Dolphins wanted Proctor, the Rams were vehement on taking Ty Simpson, the Ravens wanted Ioane, and the Bucs werent trading with us except for maybe a kings ransom. Even if we wanted to move, we had no partner. Moot point.
    • Devin Lloyd is a stud lb but who is next to him? Prince and Nic should improve. Lee was super value but i am not counting this fourth round chicken yet. I would expect some improvement; hope to eat my words w/ a top ten D.
    • I mean I agree about diminished Cam probably still being viable. Even though it gave a preview of how teams would defend the pass against a limited QB. There was an issue with the upcoming contract he was due to get and his expectations vs the new reality of his physical status - that people tend to  overlook when looking back on it  It had an effect on things I believe   But I do have to ask… what about Tepper’s second major move? fuging clueless   I mean I would take even an injured  Cam over Bryce all day long.
