Frank Reich has a better win % as a head coach than any of these other guys you named.

Reich 11 win max. 3 win min. 8.0 win avg. .547 win % (9 wins). 0 SB.

Rivera 15 win max. 5 win min. 8.2 win avg. .521 win % (9 wins). 1 SB.

Fox 13 win max. 2 win min. 8.3 win avg. .520 win % (9 wins). 2 SB; 3 conference championship games.

Hanging your hat on .027 win % to call Reich the more successful head coach? That is less than half a win over a 17 game schedule. Both Rivera and Fox were more successful than Reich in their first 4 to 5 years of being a NFL head coach.

Reich needs to prove himself, and he is not an elite coach. He is more of the same. Definitely better than Rhule.

I'm not "hanging my hat" on anything. You said Frank hasn't proven he can win like some guys that he objectively has a better win rate than.

Try again. I said he is unproven in 5 years at winning at the same LEVEL as the others. Reich has proven he can win regular season games and get to the playoffs like an average coach. He has not proven he can win a division title or have consistent playoff success.

Capers won a division championship and was in the NFC Championship game in his 2nd season. Fox won a division championship and went to the SB in his 2nd season. Rivera won a division championship in his 3rd, 4th, and 5th season while going to the SB.

Reich better match that in a 3 to 5 year window with the Panthers or he'll have had a decade of mediocrity as a head coach.

I'm sure you already know this and don't want to think of Reich as more of the same, unproven, or worse. He needs to establish success of winning in the playoffs quickly.

All we need to do to make the playoffs this year is to win our crappy division. Not sure why you consider that such an outlandish prediction.

Have you seen how Evero and Capers defense performs against Carr and Mayfield? You expect to win the division if they can't figure out how to defend those QBs?

Too much reality there for most of the huddle to handle the week after the draft.

If we're talking about reality, here's what he's really trying to say...

Please somebody pay attention to me!!!

Well okay, maybe that's not what he's trying to say, but it's pretty clearly what he's actually saying and what he's been saying for so long that at this point it's pretty pathetic.

Bill B didn’t have a great record with the Browns, Andy had a good record with the Eagles but couldn’t win it all, Pederson won it all but struggled afterwards with the Eagles plenty of recent Super Bowl champs have shown some success early but were fired from their old teams. The fact that Reich had a decent record (better than our past HCs) with a team constantly shuffling QBs lets me know he is solid. He was over over that Eagles offense that won with Nick Foles, the current Eagles HC said he was one of the best minds in football. Now we look at this awesome staff he has assembled and it’s easy to get excited.

I understand some individuals on here didn’t get enough attention when they were younger so they are going to constantly be anti-Panther on a Panther’s board just for the responses. Regardless we had a great offseason filled with plenty of talented players (including our new QB) and a new coaching staff that looks legit. It may take a minute to get our new systems implemented, but we should be competitive sooner vs later IMO. There is plenty to be excited about in Carolina. Keep Pounding Huddle!

    • If he is BPA, then yes. I am a believer in Dan at this point and hope that he doubles on his strat from last draft.  T-Mac wasnt the biggest need, but at a first round position, over-drafting for need is bad.  We had XL coming back (we didnt know he'd catch rabid Racoon Disease in the offseason and forget how to be even an acceptable WR), Thielen coming back (yes...old AF thielen was a 1k reciever) and Coker coming off a surprising season...if you asked RIGHT AT THIS SAME POINT LAST OFFSEASON if we should draft Defense or T-Mac where we were last year, I guarantee 70-80% would have said "WHY THE fug ARE WE TAKING A RECIEVER!?!?!".  We're getting close, but you build a winning roster by Drafting studs in the first round and depth after, and Studs dont come from "Well we needed a Long Snapper", they come from "I dont care if we don't need a Receiver, That dude is THE DUDE"
    • I honestly don't care about NBA talent. Our last championship team was light on it. The team that went to the title game was light on it. I wanna win college games. I haven't watched a full NBA game in probably 15 years. I barely remember one and doners, whether their ours or elsewhere. It's one of the reasons why my hatred of duke has cooled. Their players don't hang around long enough for me to even know their names.
    • Should hopefully pick up a half-game on the Sixers and Heat tonight. Also possibly the Hawks and Magic. 🐝🐝🐝
