MNF against the Saints in week 2?

That would be surprising for the league to do, no interesting storylines between two teams that don't have much of a national following, have a hard time believing that one.

most likely to give Bryce young a primetime game to show what he got as the number one overall pick

That's fair, but if that's the case, there are so many better matchups they could have done that would help draw in more viewers.  As on the surface, even with the #1 pick in the game, Panthers-Saints Week 2 seems about as uninspiring of a national interest in a matchup as possible.

Texans would have the picks 1-2 storyline, Colts would have Reich against his old team and maybe AR-Bryce, Bears would be DJ and the team that traded the #1 pick, Jags would be the two most recent #1 pick QBs, Dolphins would have two former Alabama QB's against each other, and Cowboys are the Cowboys, hell, either Bucs game would bring in the Baker storyline too.

All would be way more interesting matchups for MNF if they were looking to get Bryce that spotlight.

That part makes sense to do with the latest #1 pick, it's them doing it in Week 2 against the Saints that seems odd to me, that early in the season, the only storyline is that we're division rivals.

They will probably make the Colts game later in the season for better chances that AR is the starter by then and had more time to develop since he needs the most development out of the top 3 QBs.

Good IMO. Young should be good to go and they will be able to minimally prepare to face him in our offense.

That's another way of looking at it I guess

I'm still afraid of Bijan running for 300 yards in his debut against a newly formed 3-4 defense in their literal first game played together.

    • I wonder if the Hornets view Kon and McNeeley more as forwards and plan to ship off Green/Okogie/Smith for center help. I hope they don’t plan to ship off Sexton as I like what he brings to the team. (2) G - Ball, Mann, Simpson (two-way) (3) G - Sexton, Dinwiddie, Connaughton (3) F - Miller, Knueppel, McNeeley, James (two-way) (3) F - Bridges, Williams, Salaun (3) C - Diabate, Kalkbrenner, Plumlee
    • 3 main reasons he was better in 2023 and none of them concern me for his NFL prospects 1. Totally new coaching staff that was a massive downgrade and had god awful play calling and designs, the entire fan base was ready to run the coaching staff out of town a month into their first season and the play caller ended up getting changed because it was so bad. 2. Along with the staff downgrade, his QB played significantly worse after being the Pac 12 Freshman of the Year in 2023.  Constantly missed T-Mac when he was wide open, lost out on a number of TDs and a good amount of yardage, half the time T-Mac still almost made miraculous catches on the bad passes too. 3. He hurt his ankle over the summer and missed all of fall camp only to return to practice a few days before the season started and I think he had to deal with it all season long and was slightly limping at times mid season too, but kept fighting through it to still be a 1st team All American.
    • Good luck to Burns. He’s fine as a third pairing defensemen but Rod is too stubborn to do that.
