Since the average NFL snaps per game is around 65, (the Panthers averaged 57--32nd ranked--in 2022) that means Michael Jordan would have surrendered over 34 sacks during a 17 game season.

Think about that.  He sucks.  He is the reason Joe Burrow got hurt.  This is a pointless signing.

Yeah our starting tackles played 1018 snaps last year, that'd put him around 36 sacks. I wonder what the record is for a single player?

Someone will have to dig to find the individual record for most sacks allowed but in my search I stumbled across this nugget from last year. Woof.

Still probably better than Greg Little.

You know the saddest part, Daley was the second best player we took in that draft. Let that sink in.

Ok Daley tied for first last year with 12 total. I'm guessing it's never really gotten above 15 for a single player but can't find a simple list anywhere

He's pretty terrible but most backups are. They're backups for a reason.

Exactly, you don’t get to have pro bowl talent at backup.  He has started before and can again in an emergency.  Can’t see a negative here

    • I hate to praise Atlanta but what they did was not dumb. The only issue is where they drafted Penix. #8 overall was very high for a QB with Penix’s injury history. But it wasn’t a bad decision. I wish the Panthers took a broader approach to finding a franchise QB after Cam.  Cousins is old and recovering from a serious injury, so he is obviously a temporary placeholder. It makes sense they hedged their bet on Cousins, because Atlanta was burned by holding onto Matt Ryan too long while his skills degraded. If Cousins can still play, Penix gets to sit on the bench and learn which has proven to be a winning strategy for developing young QBs. If Cousins sucks or gets hurt again, they have a legit backup plan to see what they have in Penix.  Where are the Panthers if Bryce gets hurt or sucks again this season? The season is over and they’ll be considering drafting another QB next year.
    • Same as when Jordan Gross said that having to block Julius Peppers made him a better player. But I mean no sh*t, having to block one of the best DE’s of all time will up your game. I bet Gross went up against other DE’s in games and was like, this is nothing. Horn isn’t that level of player obviously, but Legette has his work cut out for him going against Horn in practice. The coaches should be able to tell pretty quick what they have in Legette.
