Exactly. Why these two clowns? Jordan is the 90's goat and he refused to bestow knowledge or even an attempt at guiding or developing our young players over the years and then he sells to these two? That's about as close as you can get to a fug you to the fans if I've ever seen one. I'm just saying. And I grew up a massive Jordan fan.

Where'd you hear that why would he refuse to mentor his own players lol. Several have mentioned getting feedback from him. Bouknight specifically had a big game after advice from Jordan.

Yes they are still meeting with MJ. Also MJ still has a small minority stake of the franchise. He will still be around the Hornets just no longer the top dog when it comes to decisions.

Maybe the new guys will spend more money and take more risk.

I also wonder what this move means for Clifford.

The Clifford thing is the biggest component!! Isn't the Bucks ex coach still available? Think so... regardless  I'd love an upgrade!! I know  Mitch probably  wants to keep Clifford  but we need an upgrade  at coach.  Maybe MJ will become more of a financial backing type minority  owner.  Hopefully  these guys collaborate and form a dynamic structure  to succeed!!

I've heard vaguely of him speaking to Bouknight. Heard of him speaking to Hayward in trying to lure him here. But I'm talking about actively engaging your players on a consistent basis and trying to help them improve their game and the younger kids transitioning to the NBA not on one random encounter here and there. If you thinks he's done enough or more than he could cool we'll just disagree. But he's the GOAT not some random veteran.

Yep both Budenholzer and Doc Rivers are available and would be immediate upgrades to help develop a young team like ours.

The quote below pretty much sums all this up.

"For whatever reason, that never materialized in Buzz City, and how much Mike’s at fault for demeaning his guys’ confidence during games of one-on-one, or re-hiring Steve Clifford, is in the eye of the ticket-holders. I’m not here to give MJ a pass for banking on Frank Kaminsky over Devin Booker, or Malik Monk in lieu of Donovan Mitchell, but I’m also not going to act like small-market franchises ever enter an offseason with leverage."

I really hope we would hire another coach but MJ is still on board kinda. If we stuck with Cliff again... so be it but I feel it's better options still available  to push the new era forward.

    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
    • At least we have Mike Kay and his little buddy sidekick whoever to put you to sleep when suffering from insomnia. They're all useless unfortunately.
