Two week break didn’t help and I feel like it contributed to our loss as well. I think if we did not have that two week break we would have still been hot instead of cool during the Super Bowl. 
I have never liked the two week break.

Well, Von sort of is ending that totally out coached narrative.   The refs mattered way more.  Luck mattered more. Again, that Denver O was utter trash.  

If the game is just averagely called.....we win.  Denver wasn't even the second best team in the NFL. 

We went 17-1 going into that game.  There was no blueprint Atl showed.  Which is why we smashed people after that.

We were actually moving the ball pretty easily against the Broncos D. We crossed the 50 multiple times but almost every time we committed a big mistake. 
Broncos D was good but if everything went normally we would have won easily.

Also Norman missing 2 easy picks in Broncos territory didn’t help.

Our offense benefitted from short fields constantly during the season and playoffs and it never happened in the SB.

Oh, there was definitely a blueprint. You just had to be smart enough to see it, and Phillips is a defensive genius.

Even without that though, you've still got Wade Phillips vs Mike Shula. Combine that with Ron Rivera stating there was no need for any adjustments and you've got a recipe for disaster.

We've won poorly officiated games before. Hell, we won them that season.

You can win a poorly officiated game way easier than a poorly coached one.

Think someone theorized it was Tolbert but it was never confirmed.

Yeah I read that, but then you pull the player that is refusing to run the play assignment and put in someone else to help block.  I would understand if it was a play or two, but it happened throughout the entire game.  A coach needs to have control over the player assignments.

Yep. I understand the ref blame game but Miller is clearly not referring to that. The game was truly lost by our poor coaching staff. They had two future HOF edge rushers and we didn’t adjust in any way. I can’t remember which Bronco defender said after the game that they knew exactly what we were doing, but that showed that they prepared for the game and Ron/Dave just assumed Cam and Luke would save the day. We had the more talented team and they had way better coaching. That’s what Miller means.

I agreed with his decision not to jump on it then and I still do now. it wouldn't have made a difference because the fix was in. I still can't watch highlights of SB50 to this day and I don't know if I ever will be able to.

Never bought into the "fix" theories, but have said and continue to say that Newton was in no position to fall on that football.

It was too close to his feet. Unless he could have somehow dropped straight down (a physical impossibility) there was just no way for that to happen.

      Just going off the draft sims and he's always sitting around 20 lol. First year in a while where we haven't been thinking about the draft already in late October so haven't really looked into the top 15-20 picks yet. Also the qb class is super weak so he probably will sneak up into 10-15

      I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.

      What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
