Colts probably should start AR for experience purposes.... but Gardner really deserves a shot to lead the colts this year.

If they want to win more this year, start Minshew.

He is better in the "now" term, he just keeps ending up in situations where the QB of the future lands on the teams he is on.

Again, way too early to make that kind of judgment.

To be fair many were saying that well before this season started, I don't view that as a reactionary opinion. I'm hopeful with Reich but had plenty of concerns about him even before we hired him.

If Gardner plays well then he is a trade chip before the deadline. And they got him for basically no money.

What couldn't he do here? Unless you just mean because we drafted a dude first overall. He still would have been an upgrade over Dalton.

why would he want to come to a team where he 100% wouldnt start? We annouced Bryce was our starter week 1. Colts didnt announce it until week3 of the preseason.

Maybe that is because Dalton isn't a threat to take Young's job? Maybe Minshew could have pushed for it. I was just commenting on the part about him being a fit here during Rhule's time but not now. I didn't think he would be better under Rhule than with our current crop of coaches.

Lets be honest, if teams were just starting who is better right now, Minshew would have been starting for the Colts or he would be starting for us. The only reason he doesn't start is because theres some guy with a higher draft number next to their name on the roster.

nah i dont agree here. Bryce starts here no matter who is on the bench.

Minshew had zero incentive to come play for us. Colts paid him good money, he was with his old coach, and he had a potential opportunity to start there. Him going to the Colts was most likely his preference as well.

Richardson got knocked out late in the first game and didn't even finish the first half in his second.

That's not a situation that lends to trading your backup.

    • In The Athletic today:   The Panthers will let all of their free agents test the market. The list includes running back Rico Dowdle, who will not be returning to Charlotte unless he finds little interest following back-to-back 1,000-yard rushing seasons. The Panthers want to bring back a pair of offensive linemen — center Cade Mays and swing tackle Yosh Nijman, who would start while Ikem Ekwonu recovers from patellar tendon surgery. Mays is expected to land a deal in the $8 million-a-year range. Nijman would come considerably cheaper. Even if the Panthers re-sign Nijman, look for Morgan to draft an offensive lineman for the first time since replacing Scott Fitterer in 2024. A tackle is in play for the Panthers with the 19th pick. — Joseph Person ———- I interpret that as saying they want to get Nijman in the fold and try to upgrade from him in the draft.
    • Okay, I don't care what anyone said afterwards, but I frikkin' loved the Danhausen unveil at Elimination Chamber. Highpoint of the night for a PLE with only like four matches (and fairly meh ones at that).
    • Kalil’s shoes, Cam’s shoes, TD shoes, Luke shoes, Olsen shoes, and etc and so on.  The pas 7-years of bad drafting and miss managing of players has led to a long drought. Hopefully Morgan sticks to building a foundation to start winning
