Bryce is fine. The Panthers are fine.

I used to argue the air yards... but then Mahomes, Purdy Tom Brady, Burrow and Tua changed my mind. We are running an offense that's built on getting the ball into the playmakers hands as quick as possible... unfrotuantely we dont have that type of playmaker... Maybe if Mingo played today instead of TMJ we would have seen it.

Sorry, but you can't use YPC to measure his success as a passer if he's letting his receivers do all the work. The difference between all of those guys and BY is they can complete a pass over 20 yards in the air on a consistent basis, except maybe Purdy.

Bryce isnt pushing the ball down the field but I kind of agree he wasnt as bad today as people are making it seem. Well outside of that shitty fumble. He needs to learn that cant treat the NFL like bama.

Now imagine if that defender could catch and he also has a 99 yard pick six on the books today.

I think Ikey is gonna steal the game tape and burn it so they can’t see how pathetic he played today

What are the air yards per attempt?

Remember when Bridgewater had 4 1k yard receivers? It wasn't because he was throwing deep.

Honestly, probably about 5 yards. No joke. Because with the DPI he's going to lose credit for the air yards of the one deep shot he took (that was horribly underthrown to a guy who was grabbed and slowed up).

He is holding onto the ball too long tho. He keeps trying to make a play when he just needs to throw it away asap if it's not there. It doesn't help we have no one who can stretch the field or create real separation, get yac, etc.

    • I think you look at needs. The you get to the spot… if some guy fell and is there, and is so much better than your need options you can do two things. Take him, or trade back if possible to better match your need guy to his value.  Last year we didn’t see the right value in our needs at our spot, and went BPA because we had room for a WR. Worked out great. If it were a LOT there who was BPA? May not have worked so great
    • Yeah you’d probably want to do a big signing bonus small salary for Linderbaum in 2026.   Icky’s 5th year is guaranteed but you won’t likely be paying him anywhere near what his extension when healthy would have called for.    We have a year to play Icky’s situation as unknown. By the end of the season they should know how he is healing. You got G, ROT, even LOT still maybe, and off the roster coming for 2027 with him.    I am figuring we have to draft a T high in (one of) the next two drafts.  If not two Ts. There will be a lot of flexibility with Moton easing out of the picture and possibly Hunt.  I don’t see how we keep paying that money for G but if we had two OTs on rookie deals, it could be worked out I would think.
    • Mike Kaye was on the radio this morning and said that if he had to say we go after it could be Devin Lloyd. Said he fits age and scheme we’re looking for. Man that’s who I would like to go after. https://x.com/gopanthers59/status/2024149119179043086?s=46&t=xeIgh_-Vr2aKxBkBJdfnKA
