Keep this in mind as you scroll this dumpster fire of a forum. Most "prognosticators" on here want to write off a 20 year old who has been given an insurmountable task. And it sure as poo isnt going to help if most of the fan base turns on him after 3 starts.

For those of you who want to keep some reason in mind, go look at Peyton Manning, Drew Brees or Josh Allen's stats thier rookie years. And for those who like instant gratification, look at Jameis Winston or Jared Goff. Great rookie seasons but lack luster afterwards considering where they were drafted. I could go on and on with examples, but if you need more then there is no help for you anyways.

Sometimes it takes a while, sometime it doesnt. A good season early in the career means about as much as a terrible one. Bryce needs weapons, a Front Office who will help him and some fans with patience and perspective.

Right now he has none of those. Lets change that shall we?

Brees didn't play much at all his rookie year.

Allen is an aberration with some eyepopping moments.

Peyton averaged like 240 ypg and slung over 25 tds and that was 1998.

A #1 pick that we were willing to put THIS much pressure on, mortgage our future for, better look a hell of a lot more special than even other #1 picks.  This whole situation is just not good, and Bryce isn't looking good for what we spent on him.  It's okay to admit it.

Jared Goff would be this franchises 2nd best QB of all time.

    • Not many are talking about this player. He played well as a rookie last year. If he refines his blocking, continues studying film, and keeps working hard, I can see him being the next Greg Olsen. I’m expecting 55 catches, 700 yards, 4 TDs this season.
    • I'm not a Bryce hater and I would 100% move on.  Especially looking at how the upcoming qb draft looks on paper.  Hopefully he continues to improve but if in 3 seasons you're still chasing average season numbers then he's not going to be the guy.  You've just got to keep taking swings until you hit.  Average qbs without any elite physical traits cant get it done anymore.  So this year Hopefully he continues to develop and is above average statistically.
    • Meltdowns???? He was pulled by Canales because he wasn't executing the game plan after 2 games into the season so he could watch Dalton execute the offense and show Bryce the windows available in the NFL, how to push the ball down the field and how to step up and move around when blitzed. When Young came back 5 games later he clearly watched and improved. Enough he was named the future starter. He doesn't have a history of  meltdowns nor is there any reason to assume he will have one. From what I have read he is mentally strong and emotional stable. He may have bad games down the road, everyone does. But this is all a learning experience for him and so far he seems to be making progress. I can understand being hesitant on anything Panthers, but Young has surprisingly been able to gain his confidence after a disastrous start. You aren't alone in being cautious but I think he is the future. I thought he was too small and too short to succeed in the NFL. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised last year and am optimistic about the offense for the first time since Wilks and Dalton were decent.
