I think he is doing pr for the team for sure

Smith doesn’t care about that stuff. I’ll accept the argument that he backed Young from the beginning so he is wanting to save HIS face. I don’t think he is concerned about Tepper.

What does being a hot head have to do with evaluating a qb? I’d still take Steve’s opinion on QB play over 95% 9of the posters here anyday.

Bryce gets at least a full season to show what he can do.

I hear him. But now imagine Steve Smith the player playing with a QB that can't effectively throw a ball on an NFL field more than about 10-15 yards. How patient is that gonna look?

we don't need to imagine it.  Steve Smith was not a happy man in 2010.

Thats grand coming from this psychotic hot head

Never thought I would see the day when smith is sucking off tepper

I don’t understand some of his takes. I don’t know if he does not want to get the Panther Brass upset with him, but something doesn’t make sense. I have listened to some of his comments on draft picks. Steve was real high on Shi Smith, also Jonathan Mingo. Steve had some credibility with me because of his career. He is fast losing it.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
