Go root for the Texans then

Why would I do that? This is like the lowest form of forum activity there is. I complimented another player and your reaction is go root for another team? Fans don’t try to drive other fans away.

If go root for the Texans is all you've got you're standing in front of a tidal wave. If you can't handle the heat that these two will be talked about you might as well hide under a rock it's going to remain until one of them is no longer playing. We're over here looking at basic throws when our team is being blown out and trying to convince ourselves it's progress. When you pass up on the best arm in the class this is what happens.

I wanted Ridder, Purdy, Glass and Coan to compete with Darnold last year.

I wanted to surround the QB winner with Garrett Wilson, DJ Moore, Laviska Shenault, CMC and D'Onta Foreman.

This year I would have added a couple TEs from the draft.

So, it stings to see I was right, and the Panthers keep swinging and missing.

1st round QBs will always be overrated and you can find winners at QB in later rounds.

You playing fantasy GM in your head is doing a lot better than Fitterer, I’ll give you that.

Nope not bothered by Stroud’s success. He was my top choice but it’s water under the bridge and you all are so obsessed about it that you are totally miserable

Except it’s not water under the bridge.  It’s exhibit A on the total clusterfug this franchise is.   They will always be linked.

It is a clusterfug for many more reasons than that. Bryce is the least of my worries

It’s just silly emotional talk. Compliment a comparable player on that other team and you can’t be a fan here. You can only like the guys on your team and if somebody else is outperforming them, you can’t notice it or mention in.

    • Canales up first. Guys got their legs back yesterday and started a little slow when they came out Bryce challenged them in the huddle and they responded "Dominant practice for the defense today." Praised turnovers, "beautiful hits," and being physical Praised Moehrig, Ransom, Incoom, and Jones II Confirmed playing starters. Predominantly a young team and can't pass up an opportunity. Emphasized game day routines such as nutrition, body readiness, etc. Plus it's a bunch of new guys on the defense. Bryce will start. Will play them the first two, but starters might sit for the third game depending on how practice goes that week. Nic Scourton has a mild hamstring that happened in special teams. DJ Johnson had an issue with his hip flare up and is getting checked out this afternoon. Experimenting with approach to preseason games. In Seattle they played their starters in all but the last preseason game and what Pete Carroll was looking for in terms of mental readiness to play football. Thomas Incoom has been getting a lot of work with AC Carter adding to his toolbelt. Getting better as a rusher and being physical in the run game. Looking for a consistency in response. 1pt for a win, 3pts for a TD. Defense doesn't like that, but in games if they give up one go ball the score can swing. They challenged the pass game and the run game today. Guys are getting together before, between, and after team drills to challenge each other Job of the coaching staff to set the foundation for our schemes, philosophy, and expectations of what it's like to play Panthers football. Powerful when players take that and the locker room owns it. That's when it becomes our team, their team. At the end of the day, the men on the field have to rebound from a bad play, celebrate the good plays, and keep each other in tune for a whole game. Robert Hunt is amazing. Size, talent, quickness, flexibility. Really intelligent guy that there will say himself there are technique things he needs to work on. Regardless of where players are at, there's a constant learning curve and loves that Big Rob is challenging himself with the position coach. Thinks the digital down and distance can be really valuable. Getting the information quickly will help with the flow of the game. Thought TMac looked great but there were some near misses that he'll have to get in the room and communicate with Bryce on while reviewing film. James Mitchell keeps doing right and his trust factor is increasing with the QBs. If you're right and the coverage says the ball goes there, it'll come. Had some issues at the start of camp but is trending up. Newton or Person: "It looked like today was beyond thud but short of live. What do you call that?" Canales: "No, that's thud. In my mind, that's what thud should look like. The challenge for our defensive guys is can you put your body in a position where we know that would've been a tackle." Whizzing by, tagging with two hands, etc doesn't show you whether you would've made a tackle. That's not real football. Let's the play extend because guys have to be ready to chase sometime where the ball squirts out from a pit. Can't train to say "Ah, it was a tackle" and relax but instead play with intensity through the whistle. Lathan Ransom is bringing the physical style of play that they saw on film. Has been really into the details and someone that they can count on. Has really given himself a chance to start at the other safety position. Excited for the extra energy from a game-like environment that they'll get from FanFest. Used to have four preseason games and now FanFest feels like that first one. Will give ST full speed reps to evaluate. Making plays and feeding off of the fans. Window closed quickly on the INT to finish practice. CSW baited Bryce with some movement and made a great play. Saw it from Bryce's perspective with TMac coming open. Has played all over the secondary that they can count on to speak loudly and be on the same page with his teammates.
