What happened to the dream team…?

Cast of elite coaches took an extremely intelligent rookie QB and started treating him like Tom Brady on day 1.  They took a high school student with a 4.0 GPA and straight A and gave him advance quantum mechanics from a graduate program.  And only 1 person can call the plays and that man is Frank Reich.  How good we were on script to start the game today just adds fuel to that fire IMHO.

"Each era has the fatal hubris to believe that it has once and for all climbed to the top of the mountain and can see everything as it is, from the highest and most objective vantage point possible."

We never had a cast of elite coaches.  We did vs the Rhule era….not vs the rest of the actual league.   That continues to be a repeated misconception.

Frank, Dom and Caldwell aren’t elite in the year 2023.   We hired 2 promising coordinators.  The math ain’t mathing to call them an elite coaching in the 2023 NFL.  And generally every team has McCown, Duce, etc types.

This team is not talented enough to consistently win or maybe not win at all.

The wrong players were signed or drafted and other key draft picks and key players were traded away. This has been going on since 2019. And now many key starters are injured.
I am not sure any coach would be successful with this current roster as it is just not any good. It literally has been stripped of talent and limited with no depth. This is on the GM, front office, scouting etc more so than coaches.

Andy Reid was fired. Belichick was fired. Not a great argument

Comparing Reich to Ried and Bellicheck ?, still on the drugs I see

Riech is a nobody , that was so lost at the QB position he was on the phone to Philip begging him to come back, then turned to the great Matty Ice to save his job , fired lol

After 2 years or cycling through retread QBs, we then turn to a clueless rejected coach to fix our team ?, and surprise we are less functional than the Rhule Panthers

It's hilarious there are still Tepper apologist attacking people for daring to question the Reich hire

I couldn't figure out why everyone was saying they were a dream team or whatever. Failure and Frank and quality control Evero? I dunno I wasn't hyped, and with Fitt around I couldn't get too excited. However, I honestly didn't think we would be 0-17 bad. Going 0-17 is going to make history and it's actually stunning even knowing how mismanaged this team has been.

I should have said that everyone gets fired at some point. Reich def couldn’t hold a clipboard for either of those guys

    • Basically agree.  He is the one of that bunch that offers upgraded pass catching along with he is supposed to be kind of special.   Then you have the OL and the ideas that if they perform you can have JAG backs and still do well. So okay we could be fine.  But Brooks is important and to me that receiving element sets him apart.  So there sure is something riding on him.     What strikes me as incongruent is people over in Atlanta or those that follow them look at Penix with a third surgery and act like it is no big deal.      And we are on pins and needles over Brooks.  Either they should worry a lot more or we should worry a lot less.
    • I usually go a game or two optimist over the consensus here but this is too early for me to say. I need to see some players on the field.  I am not feeling real optimistic though.
    • Okay as a ‘take CJ’ fan I actually don’t obsess over CJ and Houston, contrary to the narrative.  But I thought I picked up some noise that his OL left a lot to be desired.    Not a single Beyce supporter would judge him harshly if he had a crappy OL. We all know that.    So be fair about it.  A QB needs to be protected.  Especially a guy that gets to his spot and wants to finish the play from there. Which CJ is.
