Yall positive folks didnt have a problem pooing anybody who wasnt buying the hype about this coaching staff and roster in the off season. Yall was so sure it was nowhere but up from Rhule. This was and will continue to be funny to me.

That's the thing. I WAS positive. Then preseason started and we looked terrible. I shared my concerns as did others. We were roundly mocked for not understanding the NFL and how preseason doesn't matter and how everything will look so much different and better once we started game planning

So... when does preseason endband this game planning begin? I'm ready for us to look much different and better.

There's plenty to be negative about, but then there's the folks who are unreasonably negative and won't accept anything that conflicts with their mood.

bro we are 0-6 and gave up a fuging shitload for one of the statistical worst qbs in the nfl, sure its early but you cannot fault folks for wondering wtf is going on

He doesnt have a nfl level arm.  Throwing even moderately deep isnt going to be his bag going forward.  Ive accepted that.  Now whether we can win championships with it I am extremely skeptical of.  If you cannot consistently make all the throws the defense can just bottle you up like in the 2nd half for example

Yeah this type of poo is why people are annoyed. The QB school vid was just posted with the dude praising Young’s arm strength on throws, he throws a dart 30yds down field off balance with a defender yanking on him literally the second pass of the game, countless other examples, the overthrow on the deep shot that was inaccurate because the QB couldn’t follow through and had to protect himself because the guard and center blew the protection. Then you say you’re just being realistic. That’s called blind negativity and trolling.

I’ve tried to start discussions about our abysmal defense, you know the 31st defense in the NFL. But all these folks that want to be “realistic” about our crappy team only seem to want to discuss their negative views about the rookie QB. That’s interesting.

@LinvilleGorge, I mean this in the most respectful way, but I think you need to take a step back. This thread adds nothing of value to the board and whether your intentions are positive or not, contextually it looks very passive-aggressive.

As a moderator, the bare minimum should be to lead by example. This is not the precedent you want to be setting.

    • I've just seen enough highly touted prospects who pretty much everyone was high on end up busting to assume anything.
    • Maybe, but a player can also bust for a lot of reasons.  And I'm not about to go look up the stats of all the 1st round WR busts, but I'd be surprised if they had the sustained output and success in college that T-Mac had.  Those early WR busts are usually guys who had one breakout season and then were highly drafted because of physical potential, not already built out ability. I'm not even saying T-Mac is 100% going to have a better career than Chark (although I obviously think he will). I'm just saying that right now, his skill level and ability is better than Chark's ever was, and I don't understand how anyone is arguing against that, not because of T-Mac, but because of who Chark himself was.   If you want to take the argument that you can't say ANY player who hasn't played a down yet can't be considered better than someone who has, then so be it (even though I'd say that's a dumb stance anyways). At his peak ability, Chark was more like a #3 WR than anything else, he was the definition of a league average WR.  If you don't think a Top 10 selected WR with his tape is better than that just because they haven't played in the NFL yet, then you're just stuck on the "he hasn't played a down yet" idea and can't evaluate them as players and abilities.
    • And you would've probably said the same thing about a lot of highly drafted WRs who busted.
