It’s only a thing players who have a weak mind go through. Other QBs get sacked like crazy and still perform. At this point it’s just an excuse for why Carr sucked but he was a big performer at a small lesser school and he wasn’t ready for the NFL.

Yeah I agree. It can make a QB jittery or play bad during the game when the OL is struggling, but I’d like to think the good QBs can bounce back and get into rhythm when the OL plays better.

I mean recently we have seen it especially with guys like Burrow. Or even look at @LinvilleGorges boy Sam Howell. He’s getting plastered every week and performing at a high level.

Sam is used to it. That UNC OL his final year was beyond atrocious. Dude don't give a fug. He'll stand in there and fire that pig skin anyway. He's that dude and somehow the whole NFL just missed it.

Yes and no.

Carr had his own issues, but he absolutely was shell shocked by the number of hits he took. He felt phantom pressure for the rest of his career.

It’s too early to tell with Bryce. You usually need 1.5-2 seasons to tell with a QB. The group around him isn’t very good, and as the article in The Athletic pointed out, not the right scheme players.

Many of his negatives get inflated by that, but he does have some alarming footwork/technique at times as well.

By this time next season, what Bryce is going to be will be clear.

    • It's just a talking head.  Talking about gambling. If anybody takes the under on 4.5 wins, they're most likely losing their money.   So he's only saying if you want to bet on a possible sleeper, take the over.  It's not rocket science.  Pathetic that so many on the huddle have reduced themselves to posting purely trash every time they hit the submit button.
    • I mean I think the best case scenario has to hit for the Panthers and everyone else in the NFCS has to hit their worst case scenario.  Personally, I think this is the year that NO finally collapses and I think they finish 4th in the division regardless.  ATL is overrated but still likely a 6-9 win team. TB plays tough football, their defense will be there but their success depends on the offense, they too are a 6-9 win team.  The Panthers are probably 4-6 wins at best. If they find some sort of momentum during the season and get 7-8 wins, and TB and ATL struggle then maybe but I find it very unlikely.
    • We screwed up a couple years ago taking Bryce in the first place.  Nobody held a gun to our head to jump from #9 to #1.  Most people who keep up with draft news knew this 2024 QB class was loaded and we should have waited, which I advocated. It was a dumb move and I knew it.  Now we have to roll with Bryce another year.  That's fine, because this 2025 class isn't that great.  I like Ewers, but not super high on him.  If Bryce shows improvement, which I think he will, that should get him at least one more season before we have to decide on if he's the permanent answer or not.  I've said before, the 2026 draft is the next window for a franchise QB if Bryce isn't the answer. Bryce gets this year and next at a minimum.
