In other words: David Tepper took a team with an established culture and a recent winning track record and flushed it down the toilet in an egoistic attempt to prove his football wisdom.

the result is literally the worst winning percentage in professional sports

But hey, he wasn't lying. He promised no more mediocrity and he delivered. I was just hoping he meant the other direction. What Tepper called mediocrity Panthers fans call the good old days.

Should we consider trading Bryce? Honestly, yeah.

Why?  No team is trading anything for a player that his own team already gave up on.  Trey Lance "only" went for a 4th round pick.  Darnold only went for what he did because we are a bad organization.  No other team would have traded a 2nd and 3rd for Darnold. Baker went for a conditional 5th.

There is no reason to trade Bryce.  You let him either prove he's worth what you traded for him or he continues to suck and guides us to a top-3 pick in 2025.  It makes no sense to trade him regardless of what anyone thinks about Bryce.

All these idiots had to do was tank with Kyle Allen when they released Cam and you would have your QB (Lawrence) but nope, had to sign Teddy and try to win immediately. Franchise has been broken since.

You think Matt Rhule could have developed Lawrence?

I could see us taking Michael Pratt in the 4th if we want to try for a backup w/potential route.  Maybe Cameron Ward.  Honestly, we are somehow in the spot to take any position, anywhere, at any point.  I don't remember us ever being in that position before.  Given contracts, safety may be the only one out of the cards but legit every position could use an upgrade otherwise.  WRs, RBs, QBs, OL, an EDGE opposite Burns (with him uncertain), better suited DLs alongside Brown, An upgrade next to Luvu at ILB, CBs

    • I think those silver helmets look great. The logo is fairly primitive looking but I understand why it is used.  The dayglo type blue top/bottom, I think looks like a cartoon. IOW not good. White on white is a classic look, no issue. Black on black I can take but prefer black pants with a blue top. Or white pants with the blue top.  That is about as much fashion content as I am comfortable posting. Maybe go to E or Bravo for this stuff.
    • Remember when the NFC South was the toughest division (circa 2002-2006 when every NFC Championship game featured one of the four of us?)
    • You are a fair point argument guy, but I disagree that Bryce got us out of that Miami hole. You know who Rico Dowdle is, right?  Just a small quibble.    IMO when I look at him and see his output in a typical game I imagine what he did that a replacement level guy wouldn’t or couldn’t have done.  And I have trouble seeing much difference.  So assuming they can’t replace him with someone’s backup, not everybody’s but there are guys sitting, assuming they can’t replace him for probably less money would potentially be an erroneous assumption.    But based more on his relationship with the team and the guys making the decisions, the question of will they? I tend to see them sticking with him.  I never wanted him at all. But after all the misery of the Bryce era so far, I don’t have a problem with waiting until the season is complete to decide. Bring it on, I can take it.  So I am not ranting that he needs to go, although I have certainly done that and can’t say he has changed my mind to this point.  He still could.  We’ll see.
