Involvement Yes

Influence the pick No

Yes it’s obvious Tepper has been a hands on guy.  A little too much handsy.

But him forcing Frank to take the “consensus QB1” per dam near every national media with sources (Rapaport, Pete Schrager, Daniel Jeremiah to name a few) who cover the league.  Per local guys who have covered the team.  No

Tepper is known for a hot head that fires people at the drop of a hat.  IE see today.  So when they see the involvement and interest in young do you really think the scouts, coaches etc are going disagree with dave and nicole?  Thats lunacy at its finest to suggest

and the guys you referenced are reporters and not scouts.  Wtf do their opinions matter as I could give you guys with stroud #1 and saying teams didnt even have young on their draft board.

Question

define “consensus” for me

also

the difference between

Are and Think

and by the way one of those “reporters” was a pretty noteable scout with as deep a ties as anyone in the league.   Not someone trying to draw up hot clicks.

And you are correct.  There were guys that Had Stroud number.  A very select few.  Like Simms who had Zach Wilson way ahead of Lawrence and Corral QB1.  That was their rankings also btw.  That wasn’t reporting what they’ve heard from their sources across the league.  Big difference

I feel like we'll know something one way or another eventually.

People acting like they know for sure this or that are going to end up with egg on their face.

Everyone saw the Tepper's swooping in and taking over Bryce Young's proday while barely mustering a hand wave at Stroud's. They made it quite obvious.

He was near the end of his career when he came here lol

He has a SB and was a key part of the Bucs offense. He never lived up to the #1 overall pick, but he did have a decent NFL career.

Yeah, overall he was a good receiver. The biggest knock on him is that he went #1 overall in what might have been the best WR draft of all-time and was nowhere close to being the best WR out of that class.

Tepper overruled the staff and front office. 100% can confirm is a fact.

Everyone went along with it because he would've pink slipped people that didn't agree with him and his wife's take to draft Young.

The original plan was to draft Stroud at #2 but the deal fell through and the team was going to stand pat at #9 going into draft night and try to move to 3 with Arizona.  Tepper didn't have the patience for that and called the Bears and gave up a ransom to get his QB over his entire staff and front office.

The Texans were trading up to 1 and we were getting 2 in that trade. So if you believe we wanted Stroud at 2 then Houston wanted Young at 1. Tepper freaked out because Houston wasn’t overeager to make the trade and leaped them for the top pick giving away our only weapon left in Moore.

Tepper said Houston backed out of the deal.

they were but then they knew we wanted young and then were like yeah we're good dummies, If houston wanted to go to one they would have went to 1.  They could have flipped with the bears and then the bears would have flipped again.  They didnt value young like we did.  The fuging texans outsmarted the teppers
