I think something happened in that Tampa game and he never recovered.

Put Burns in goalie pads. Play the whole game empty net.

He was bad most of the season. Once Tampa shelled him, I think his confidence was basically shattered.

I don't buy into the injury theory(although it's possible). I suspect perhaps the twilight of his career descended upon him rather quickly.

There is a Sunday 6PM game with Washington in the house. Someone needs to be wearing pads tomorrow as the #2.

so from what the NHL Network said, if he clears waivers he’s still eligible on the roster to play 10 games or 30 days consecutively. He could be backup today while we sort out if we are bringing Perets up or someone else in.

I don't think you waive him with the intent to bring him back.

That chapter is over.

    • I don't really care as much about athleticism and arm strength.  While Murray might be better in that regard, I think Bryce has enough of both to do well in the NFL. The main reason this trade reference is silly is the money and the fact that Murray has been around a long while and hasn't proven that he can perform consistently when the game is on the line.  Bryce has shown that he can play well in the clutch (in the few opportunities he has had).
    • If Bryce can continue the level of play he showed after the benching, then there's a good shot we at least compete to win the division. Tampa is a solid team but even last year in our week division they went 10-7 and will be on their 4th OC in as many years. The Saints are a mess and are in a mist of a half rebuild half still trying to compete mode and will probably be starting a rookie QB. The Falcons are a wild card as they have a really good offense but are we really crowning Michael Penix as a franchise QB after just 3 games?  The only thing I want out of this season is for Bryce to come out and without a shadow of a doubt prove he's our franchise QB. If that happens then most of the fanbase would be happy and I believe we'd be in a good place record wise at the end of the season. Maybe falling just short of winning the division with a chance to sneak in as a wild card team.
