Actually feel like Milroe was good for the Tide late in the season.  He had a bad day against a great defense.  Bama could have easily won the game

I’m telling you, as a Bama fan, Milroe just doesn’t instill the confidence of heir recent QBs, and that’s because he is not a great passer. Take the deep ball away from him, and he has trouble. Michigan did that well today and won.

On the other hand, Bama’s D was awful today when the game was on the line. How many times can you get beat by the crossing routes that leave a guy in the flats?

Yeah, I don't put a ton of the weight of the loss on Milroe. Their OL struggled mightily in pass protection and he was a big part of their running attack. If hey didn't have a mobile QB tonight they would've been fuged.

If they had a QB who could make, and throw to, hot reads, they would have won. Milroe does not do that well at all.

I agree he wasn’t anywhere near Bryce Young but Young is one of Bama best QBs ever…right?  Can’t have one of those every season unfortunately

I’m not just talking Bryce though. Jalen Hurts, Tua, Mac Jones, Bryce…Bama fans trusted that they were going to make big plays when needed. It’s not the same feeling with Jalen Milroe.

    • The Lions are not in a “forward thinking” mode right now, they are in a win a Super Bowl THIS season mode. I’m from the Detroit area, you don’t understand how much this city is starving for a Super Bowl, they don’t care about the future right now, they care about maximizing their window right now, this season. You also say it’s the last chance to get something good, but that’s nonsense, this is a 24 year old with legitimate Top 15 WR potential.  Teams were lined up to trade high draft picks for Higgins or Garrett Wilson if either came available, both of whom would need brand new big contracts.  If Williams improves and plays 17 games next year while staying out of trouble, he’s would basically be in the same situation as Higgins the last 2 years, except with a higher potential ceiling and the 5th year option instead of back to back tags because he was a 2nd rounder. Which is why if the Lions didn’t have concerns about him, they exercise the 5th year option and keep him this year. Because if he has the expected season, he’s 100% bringing back a 1st rounder next year as a 25 year old not even reaching his prime yet, or they keep him for one year on a bargain bin value contract for the production. Thats why if the Lions are the ones looking to move him, it’s a huge red flag that they have serious concerns about him or they are looking for at least a 1st rounder this year, which is then a super hard pass.
    • The 6-foot-2, 245-pounder is too undersized to be a base edge rusher in the NFL, so he will have to be a linebacker who rotates to rush off the edge in the subpackage. I was watching Locked On Panthers yesterday and M. Kaye from the Charlotte Observer made some pretty good comments on why we shouldn't take Walker.  1. Is he's undersized to be a full time Edge player.  2. Rookies don't start for an Evero team 3. You don't take a tweener at 8. If we take him I hope they define what his role will be. His situation reminds me so much of Jeremy Chinn. It's going to suck if we waste a pick on Walker when we could have had a true edge or DT plus an extra pick.
    • i honestly do not think we (Panthers) have many irreplaceable players on this team right now .& they should just simply keep drafting BPA each & every round &so what if you have two really good players that play the same position that is a good problem to have since you now have someone you can trade for even more draft picks there is one thing for certain you cannot play or trade a bust all you can do is at some point cut your losses & if Mason Graham is BPA at #8 ; then that's who the  Panthers should most defenitely draft  ...just saying
