Pretty sure the Broncos have an out in that contract after this season. Safe to say they're gonna jump on it.

Not unless they want to cap hell for a while. The first semi-reasonable out they have is after 2024. If they cut him prior to Mar. 21st of 2024, the 2025 guaranteed money goes away(it is the full 2025 salary, BTW). But they would have $85 mil in dead money.

Not only that, they don’t have cheap talent on the roster because they gave away both 1 and 2 in 2022 and 2023 draft. Gave away another 1st for Sean Payton. That’s rough

They would be something like $68 million over the cap by cutting him. They are projected already to be almost $19 mil over the cap in 2024.

The best thing they can probably do is basically trade him away and keep a substantial amount of his salary. That is the only near term option. Outside of that, wait until 2025/2026 to cut him.

They just need to let him cook until 2026.

I wish the Broncos the worst and only the worst. I hope they don't see the playoffs for more than a decade.

Hate the Pats and Belichick with a passion and rooting for Belichick not to pass Shula but I found myself pulling for them against Payton, Wilson and the Broncos. fug that organization and those guys so hard. Hope they miss the playoffs for 25 straight years

I am going to root for the Pats in the last two games. I want them to fug themselves out of a new QB in the draft.

Man we have had a lot of lows this year and still don't have the 1st, but it could always be worse. Feels good to have an on the rise rookie QB after seeing this. They're going to have to eat 35M in cap hit just next year on him

on the rise?

    • it's pretty simple IMO.  The Tepper Panthers are the most unsuccessful professional sports in all of sports.  The problem isn't the posters here have changed.  The product dictates the atmosphere more than anything.  In reality, the daily convos about THE worst team in all of pro sports on a fanatics site....is going to feature harsh and critical convo.  Only one entity can actually change that.  It's the Carolina Panthers football team.
    • Yes message boards will always include that sort of stuff… However, this place has been a cess pool since the team took Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. It becomes a problem when it is accepted and promoted, which it has been here (even by at least one mod). Many posters sole purpose on this board is to try to dunk on others for having different opinions. We just had one write a novella on how talking about Bryce Young’s game winning drives “needs to stop”…after a win. They don’t want real conversation. It “needs to stop”. There are many posters here who literally only show up after losses to dead thread and try to dunk on others about the QB (MRenshaw is an easy example). I really don’t see much of that happening the other way around. There’s too many people that would rather the team be bad so they can feel justified for constant doom and gloom and negative opinions. It’s been pointed out by many over the past couple years. This just isn’t a place to have football discussions anymore because of the constant hyperbole. If you don’t subscribe to “Bryce Young is the worst QB ever who can’t throw the ball further than 5 yards and is the reason why we lose any game we lose and doesn’t help in any game we win”, then you are labeled a Bryce Young Stan.
    • if you believe he is watching every NFL game.....every week.....go right ahead.  I get it, he said something you like.  But that's like believing the talking heads on the ESPN shows are watching all the games.  You think Stephen A is watching the Panthers every Sunday too?  If Stephen A needs to go on First Take he certainly can pretend like he has watched every snap any player on the roster has taken lol.   No one is that isn't a Panther fan has been watching the 9-25 career go down every Sunday.  Or even a lot of Sunday's.  You know who knows more about Bryce Young than Long? The collective huddle.  What they are reviewing is stat sheets, highlights and in summaries.  It's an old formula lol.
