Pretty sure they were tired of the back and forth. The extension they were set to offer was going to include a "no NFL" clause for at least a year or two.

That's all over now of course, and it didn't end in their favor.

Really disappointed the Panthers never tried to go after Harbaugh either of the last 2 years.

I would not be a fan.  If you go defensive it needs to be Evero, Vrabel, McDonald in that order.

He was using the Panthers job as leverage. Everyone here knew that.
