Mayfield was 100% dogshit on the Panthers. Nobody with a brain can dispute this. It’s a fact. He was a huge disappointment. Sure, there may have been some other factors at play and the Panthers don’t have Mike Evans and Godwin catching passes ….but as Silvio told Paulie once in the Sopranos “you’re only as good as last your envelope”. That envelope was empty in Charlotte.

David Teppers' Panthers ARE the dogshit. I mean, Baker showed promise in Cleveland of all places. He gets out of this dumpster fire and goes to TB and he's thrown for over 4k yards now with a 28:10 TD:INT ratio.

Fug. We suck.

Nick Sirianni is a Frank Reich guy. Reading all the stories today about dysfunction between Jalen Hurts, Sirianni and the O.C. Brian Johnson regarding the direction the Eagles offense seems eerily similar to what our offense experienced this season.

Makes you wonder if the apple perhaps doesn't fall far from the tree.

I always thought Sirianni was just standing up for Frank by calling him the best coach he’s ever been around. But yeah, they do seem like the same coach at this point. I’m sure he’d take that as a huge compliment.

Baker isn't a plus starter but he probably has at least a dozen games better than Bryce's best.

What's very weird is you still stumping for Bryce and acting like he's not terrible. Yes, the Panthers are terrible. But yes, Bryce is also terrible. What sucks the most about that is that he doesn't have the traits to improve much on that. It's one thing if a talented young player struggles with the transition. But Bryce was supposed to have all those mental abilities and intangibles. The critique of Bryce was always that he might be as good as he's gonna get already. Uh oh.

Again, weird.  If you really expected Bryce Young to dominate on this team you are completely delusional.  He is 22.  I was chasing ass and getting into all kinds of poo  at 22.  This guy should have led us to greatness.  CRAZY

I didn't expect him to dominate. I expected him to look at least NFL caliber. He didn't. There's a lot of room to operate between "dominate" and "NFL caliber". Bryce failed to land anywhere in there.

Nope. You. Chapel Hill isn't Ivy League. It's a small little town that looks exactly like High Point, Carrboro, etc.

Not that anyone from Brooklyn would know how to create an excel file but you could make a list of “southern hick towns” in NC and Chapel Hill wouldn’t crack the top 200.

there are places in South Jersey, Philly, and Florida that make the little slice of blue heaven look like Beverly Hills.

Well he is actually a very hard hat worker that grinds.  Great coach.  The way this world is going fans will give a coach 1 game

Jesus Christ, man. Is there any other trash you'd like to go to the mat for? The Eagles finished the year on what, a 1-7 streak?

Anymore embarrassing takes you'd like to get of your chest tonight?

Bryce Young was absolutely GREAT before he got here.  This organization has failed him so far.  A 22 year old player cannot change this

I lived in NC for 27 years. The campus is nice. But no, Chapel Hill is nothing special at all.

Lots of great college players fail to translate to the NFL. Being great in college no longer matters once you get to the NFL. History is littered with Heisman winners who just didn't have the prerequisite talent to translate their game to the NFL. Bryce will always be a great college player. He'll always be a Heisman winner. I don't wish to take any of that from him. He earned it. None of that is gonna help him in the NFL.

    • Everybody made too much of that. The CBA and the 17 game schedule is what kills the cohesion we see in teams across the league in the opening games.  You decide, look at your depth and make informed decisions there or you get a an extra quarter or whatever two quarters with your ones.  Teams that are set don’t have those openings as much down the roster to evaluate but that ain’t everybody. It is a quandary. I think they need that 4th preseason game back. But as I said, I don’t lay that as the excuse for Bryce to come out looking like he does to start seasons. He has an entire camp.
    • Hey I said the 1pm west coast team, I said the up down up down and we were due for the up week.  You can’t know what is going to happen. There was a guy that detailed why the league would engineer a Panthers win to bring LA Rams back to the pack in conference standings.  Who really knows, and how much real belief do you have when citing these things? I generally have as much as my superstition allows. It rarely rises to an emotional experience. Usually it is more analytical. In terms of interest. When crazy poo happens and we win a game like today I for sure enjoy it.  I mean you have to think about it, how many times do you connect 2 4th and short situations for TDs? Who does that? That is like the most embarrassing thing for the Rams’ defense lol. That never happens and should never happen.  Expecting it to happen might not be a good plan. But it was pretty great
