Panthers Cut Delhomme

wow Im actually really sad to hear this. Of course I wanted Moore to be the starter, but what the ***? I mean Jake has meant so much to the team over the years and to just cut him!!! I think he could be a good veteran back-up and he could defintiely help Moore. The Panthers front office grows more mysterious....

SWEET BABY JESUS HELL YES!!!!

Somewhere P55 is crying.

Why would I cry. I didn't lose anything. And he isn't crying. He will still make 13 million to sit on the couch. As I have said ad nauseum, he wasn't the long term solution. It will be very interestigng to see what vet they pick up for him.

I have been a Panther fan before Jake and will be after. I have to admit I didn't expect it to be this soon but it is not that unexpected. I hope this settles all the comments about Fox being so loyal. Seems that isn't the case.

Jake as a person was as good as they come.

But I HATED all of his nut huggers and apologists that made every excuse in the damn book for his poor performances and defended him till the bitter end. It was out of control. A poster even made a Jake Appreciation thread after the Oakland game in '08. I mean wtf? Jake was always free of blame up till last season. He could do no wrong in the eyes of his apologists and that irritated the hell out of me.

I was also sick and f**king tired of John Fox sacrificing games for his undying love for Jake. I was so damn f***king furious with how Jake played on the field for the past 4 years as well. I can't tell you how many times Ive screamed at him while watching the games on TV the past few years.

Im just so happy all of that is over with and we can finally move on to a new era.

Funny how you accuse PS55 of crying, but you sure as hell whining & rambling like a spoiled child with the cussing & calling people "apologist" & all that crap right there. Grow up for once, Dickwiddie. But then, I expect that from someone who maturity issue, even if you talk like a smart guy. But hey, you're a Pep's nut hugger/apologist so you're just as bad as the Jake apologists.

    • Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.
    • I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......
    • Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
