Evans wants to play with an "elite QB"

So...

"According to Bleacher Report NFL insider Jordan Schultz, Mike Evans will be entering the open market with some pretty big criteria. Schultz, who says he spoke with Evans’ agent Deryk Gilmore, reported that the five-time Pro Bowl wideout wants to “play with an elite quarterback in an offense that will showcase him” and to 'be paid like a top wide receiver.'"

I believe that even the delusional can stop with the Evans chatter now. I never thought that he was a good fit for where we are on the curve anyway.

Seriously, watch him go to the Chiefs for under market value.

Notice that the quote said "and be paid like a top receiver." It didn't specify an amount. If he wants to play, why not with Mahomes and the team going for a three-peat? He can help make history, and make a good paycheck to top it all off.

Wait, are we saying Bryce isn't Elite?!?  Wasn't he branded as an elite processor?  I think this all but confirms that Evans will be a Panther next season.

Elite processors don't necessarily make for elite QBs, especially when the QB is shorter and smaller than I am. But, I can't confirm that Bryce is even an elite processor no more than I can confirm that Sasquatch exists.

I think you're selling Bryce short

    • What?!?!?! Chark's 1,000 yard season was 4 years before he played for us and he only had 525 yards in 15 games as our #1 WR.  Dude has 3,100 yards in 7 seasons, he's the literal definition of a JAG and you think he is better than half our current WR room? T-Mac is literally already better than Chark was at his peak, which again, was years before he ever even put on a Panthers uniform, and there is a real argument to be made that XL and Coker were both better as rookies than Chark was for us in his one season here.
    • Im glad we're starting low. It's nonsensical to put us at 28 IMHO based on objective things IMHO (I think 21-24) is far more appropriate but whatever. Washington was at the bottom last year FWIW.  In 2003, Sports Illustrated said our best chance to win the division was to transfer to the ACC. In 2015, everyone wrote us off as a team that snuck into the playoffs with a losing record in 2014 and lost our best WR in TC (Kelvin Benjamin). All these videos are fodder for conversation, but this prediction has no more validity than saying the Panthers are making the SB bc we're starting the season against the Jaguars again. If Bryce plays like he did down the stretch we will end up the season just fine. This roster is much better than it has been the last 2 seasons. No one knows who any season will ultimately end up, but this team is finally being built in the right way, and the idea that this roster can't compete this year is as insane as being it was when we were gaslit in 2023 that we were a rookie QB from winning the division with that roster.
