I saw where the 49ers chose to re-sign Brandon Allen to be Brock Purdy's backup.  Darnold is likely hitting the road again.  Poor guy.

Darnold performed well in 2022 when he was supported by a run-first offense and wasn't asked to win games by himself. He could be a very good QB on a team like Minnesota that will put a lot of talent around him. But if Kevin O'Connell is going to try to throw the ball 70% of the game, Darnold is going to look like he always has.

Purely a stop-gap.  You will know by the contract when (if) this gets done.

Poor guy has made tens of millions of dollars to be terrible. We should all be so fortunate.

We need to move Burns for picks.  I could see us double dipping but we need to find a future starting C in this draft, as well.
