So is he staying on the right side or moving to the left?  What are we doing with Corbett if this dude stays on the right side?

That is my question, and from what I saw by watching his dolphin video, you may want him on the right side.  Here is my concern:

The new DL schemes are designed to put pressure on the QB by stunting and setting up LBs etc.  Campen was just not current.  Our OL looked lost.  You can tell when an OL is lost when his head moves from side to side.  I saw it with Kugbula and Silatolu--predicting both would bust.  When I watched the 2023 OL, I saw it with Bozeman, Ekwonu, and Corbett.  (Not going to mention the backups).  They were confused.  \

A new OL coach is going to be huge--Campen sucked--I think he was resting on his reputation.  Not a smart man in terms of adjustments.

Having said that, Corbett really sucked during his 4 games before getting injured.

Was Bozeman unable to call schemes?  That would explain a lot.

While all that is true, Corbett has a chunk of money just to be riding the pine.  That was my point.  Maybe he takes a pay cut to stay?

Corbett tore his ACL and MCL in back to back seasons, and looked terrible last season before reinjuring the knee after taking longer to come back than expected. In what world should he be relied upon to do anything other than ride the pine?

ESPN article said the only position he hasn’t played along the OL is LG. Expect him to be on the right. Forget Austin Corbett exists.

We cut him or force a pay cut.  Those are the options.  Making the money is and sitting on the bench is not an option.

    • Can we go back to square one for a minute and remember what we paid for this guy and how he was sold?  He was like, the anti excuse. Makes everybody better, Did we get that?  I think the answer is still coming but so far you might can say that for a game or two.  Cam had issues with personnel every season almost. Horrible OL, but he had receivers. Decent to good OL no receivers. Etc. Bryce needs to stand up, or keep standing up, however you want to put it. It is big boy time in year 3. He doesn’t have to make the playoffs but there is a standard. We’ll see what happens.  But the excuses are just fuging tired.  ps, I mean let’s not crown him when he has franchise record production in two wins,.. let’s see when they stop that, how he does then.
    • Where do you draw line top3 or top 5 money then? I wish he goes for a "hometown" deal and doesn't try and reset market but it's going to be tough to argue not paying him BIG MONEY if he continues do be a stabilizing force on the left side of line. DM got some tough decisions to make at the OT position coming up.
    • I feel like if we keep playing like we are we can play with anyone. These teams ain't world beaters.
