I mean, this is the part I struggle with.  If Bryce can’t do it with Canales then we somehow did all we could do for him?

How long of a leash are fans of your opinion going to give Bryce?  What else could we do for Bryce?  Offensive HC, rebuilt the OL, kept Theilen, got one of the best separator WRs, and have more work to do.  If Bryce still looks pensive and shell shocked despite all the systematic changes the Panthers do, then that's on him and he's not the dude.

I think we're putting our best effort out there right now to build a decent offense around him.  At the end of the day the NFL is a QB league, and every QB has to step up.  It's on Bryce.  I'm going to take a good hit of hopium here, and we'll see where the card fall over the season.

Panthers agree to terms with WR David Moore, formerly of the Buccaneers.
Moore joins the Panthers for what is technically his second stint, first joining the Panthers back in 2021 and getting released prior to the start of the season. He began his career with the Seahawks as a depth receiver, totaling 1,163 receiving yards in three seasons after playing in just one game his rookie year. Moore then bounced around the league, most recently catching five passes for 94 yards and a touchdown for the Buccaneers in 2023, spending most of his time on special teams. The 29-year-old will be a depth and special teams add for the Panthers.

I still think Bryce Young is an anomaly….and you can’t just insert him in some old generic offense.   His arm and his size just demand it.

I’m personally done with him.   But I think if you wanted him to succeed you need to build a small ball dink and dunk attack with the weapons at RB, slot, TE, WR etc to give him a shot.

He just isn’t built for the league.  I think that has been answered.  Ceiling isn’t high enough to really give him a shot at this point IMO and overly cater to something for him

Yea, I sorta remember him getting a million SB and got cut shortly after. Form our panthers of course, thanks again fittrrerererererfer.

Panthers need depth more than any other team. He's a camp guy and he's best shot at making any team is Carolina. He's also got ST skills too.

I can’t argue much about how bad he looked. However, he also showed some signs that he could make tough throws. He did have the worst in the league head coach throughout the year, the worst offensive game plan, the worst receiving threats in the league, one of the worst lines in the league, and I don’t think you could debate that.

How can you completely write him off under those circumstances coming in as a rookie? We will see this season coming up, I’m waiting until after this season to judge him, it’s the hardest position in the league to learn and I don’t think any QB in the league would have been successful last season

Because when he had a chance to make plays, when the plays where clearly there, he didn’t

there are probably hundreds of posts on the forum about  his shortcomings with film back up reviews included …not to mention the internet

Everything you say is true.  What is also true is he didn’t help himself or the situation when he had the chance

college tape is great….but 2.7 seconds is the requirement with the new head coach. Let’s see if he can do it

I get that he sucked last year, but the optimist in me ask how any QB would be successful last year, much less as a rookie. Things like this don’t just disappear. He has many many examples just a year prior that proves he can make throws anywhere on the field. His college tape is phenomenal.

Statistically, he wasn't good at the deep ball in college.

    • Only thing I really see it doing is possibly making Tepper listen if a different play caller can't run the offense because of limitations. New hire, someone who hasn't been watching Bryce for the past 3 years up close may be able to talk some sense if he sees that he isn't able to get the job done.

    • Not sure there is anything that will do that outside of Young actually being a legit top 12 QB. Where he won’t need excuses made for him.  It is just as likely to multiply them.
