This is why I'd be a terrible GM

There are three guys we can draft here and I think all three are nfl starters. Norzoud, dj james, and Washington are all gold to me.

As I always say in threads like this, I learned I have no business in an nfl front office when my dumb ass was furious we burned a 3rd rounder on some undersized WR (from Utah of all places!!!) back in 2001.

That stuff happens. 32 GMs passed on the GOAT QB at least 5 times. It's not about an individual player, it's about building a team, and in that respect, we've been failing miserably for the majority of our existence.

Players like Smitty and Brady are far and few between. It's about CONSISTENTLY drafting the right players. Look at our last recent drafts. We would be better off right now had the huddle just made the picks. And it would cost them millions of dollars less.

The draft is very luck based. Teams can consistently draft archetype players to succeed in right situations like the Steelers and Ravens but in reality its a coinflip whether any player in the 3rd thru 7th rounds is an NFL player. Doesn't matter who you take.

There's probably an alternate universe where Eric Shelton was a pro-bowl RB for the Packers and Joe Adams lead the league in kickoff/punt TD's for 3 straight years

Don't ever feel bad for being wrong about a draft prospects. Just remember, there are busts and steals in every single draft. The highly paid professionals get this poo wrong every year too.

I thought young was a complete fug up of a pick

I thought Chandler Z was the key to our guard problem

I can't tell you how pumped up I was when we drafted Eric Shelton.

Well, I consider myself an NFL scouting genius.  I hated last seasons draft. Turned out i was right to hate it. I like this draft. We did exceptionally well.

1. Top 5 receiver.

2. Top RB in the entire draft.

3. The 2nd best TE in the draft.

4. KY lb. Time will see.

All this with no 1st round pick.

The rest whatever.

Much better than last year.
