We absolutely can, and wouldn't the Bryce move make us qualified to judge a poor QB decision? Lol.

We can judge the Falcons QB situation, its better than ours is. End of story.

Bryce isnt a top 10 QB and looks to never be one, so your argument is irrelevant.

If Penix sucks they look dumb, if he is great they don't look dumb.

They dont get props, but I dont get all the hate especially from our team. It seems more like hoping that Penix will suck and Cousins gets hurt again to me.

Haven't seen anyone wishing injury on Cousins, and of course we hope Penix sucks, he's a Falcons QB.

I hope he sucks terribly and Cousins doesnt return to form. Or Cousins plays just good enough to keep him on the bench for the majority of his rookie deal.

Oh good so we're in agreement on this. You know, you're allowed to make fun of other teams even if your team is bad. It's fun, you should try it.

It'd be like if we drafted Levis at 9 in 2023 after giving Derek Carr $100 million. Would you honestly be ok with that?

Not touting the deal really. My opinion was in comparison to our situation, the Falcons' mistake is a lightweight oops. I wouldn’t have paid Cousins like that in the first place, but the NFL prints money so they’ll get over it.

Well then that begs the question, why sign an old, injured Cousins to a big deal and thus hamper your ability to add talent around a QB on a rookie deal?

This decision reeks of indecisiveness in the FO, and I can't believe it's receiving praise on this website.

Cousins is a 50 mil bet that he helps them win a terrible NCFS race but it's a 2 to 3 year deal anyways. He would also be great when picking a project...which apparently they didn't but they couldn't know that when they signed him. Cousins may hate it but he could be the expensive backup next year or ask for a trade.

How they did it with lack of communication reeks of issues in their FO. That isn't praise just saying it is understandable given it was a rookie QB even if they chose to go about it as poorly as they could IMO. I think you are way over reacting to people here saying it makes sense even if they really did it in their worst way.

Well we already had one of these threads about this bullshit a while back. Sorry that Bryce sucks and pointing out that fact hurts your feelings.

I wouldnt give a flying fug if he was short but could actually play the position.

Oh cool, one thread about this topic previously that undoubtably turned into another Bryce is short, he sucks, we can’t talk about anything else discussion. As if there aren’t hundreds of other threads that dedicated to the same topic that you have the ability to post in.

They took a RB in the top 10 last year they barely used and this year they took a QB in the top 10 that wont play anytime soon. I fully approve Falcons wasting all their top picks for the foreseeable future.

Not to mention taking Pitts at #4 overall. Maybe he gets better with better QB play, but they could have had Jamarr Chase, Jaylen Waddle, or Devonta Smith.

Cousins deal is 4 year 180 million. I think its questionable to draft a QB at 8th that seems like a reach at 8th instead of getting cousins more help.  But if cousins plays his 4 years they will get a year assuming they take the 5th year option to evaluate Penix.  I dont have alot of faith in Penix.  its not the panthers so just discussing b/c its such a slow time but it has to make cousins a little disgruntled, but 180million will help with that lol.

It's 50 guaranteed and they can walk after tear 3 or pay 30ish to walk after 2. He isn't playing 4 there, especially now.

Edit: 100 guarantee. How was the other info so wrong lol. Either way they still bought the division year 1 of that if he is healthy. It now says just 25 mil I  dead money in year 3 so they can absolutely afford to cut him after 2 years.

Falcons situation is extremely weird and we can definitely make fun of it. We are even worse, but that doesn’t make their situation less bad.

    • My tailoring green idea was not for him to be the starter but to add some value beyond just a developmental quarterback I think size speed is something Bryce doesn't have he has those and would immediately feel the fourth and one package and possibly red zone and some power packages for us
    • Do you have against Willis I believe you're around when we have the draft with corral and Willis were on the board and me personally I was banging the table for Willis as early as round one but a lot of people thought corral was better but it's amazing with a little coaching and time can do with me I always go with potential and upside versus oh the guy just plays football you know sometimes that's not enough
    • I know or needs and this probably isn't with a lot of people want but if he's available at 19 I don't think you can discount that he would be the best player on the board I think with 43 speed he's as fast as leggette. 63240 something he would stretch the field  Strike fear over the middle of opposing linebackers and also probably cure our long time history of no serviceable tight end since Greg Olsen I think a lot of needs like tackle maybe linebacker could be filled and free agency to the point like they did last year where we fix a lot of this and draft the best player we can on the board.  After his combine and the numbers in the 43-in vertical I'm not sure that he will be available but if he is I bet that he's highly considered what say you
