Adam Thielen: We probably have NFL’s worst facilities, I don’t think anybody would argue that

This is why i have never held it against the Tepper for trying to progress something like this. The panthers are just way behind everybody else. It took tepper coming just to get a practice bubble so they wouldnt have to be in a ball room during bad weather. Im still disappointed about the rock hill facility not working out because that would have been very cool for the team and the fans. It makes no sense they still dont have a practice facility.

This.

I still remember reading about the team practicing in a ball room during bad storms, and thinking the team I root for is running a Mickey Mouse organization. Glad to hear Tepper is trying to catch the team up with the times

Tepper is lots of things, but cheap is not one them.

Jrich would have NEVER bought that 700,000$ bubble and tepper did year one.

He tired to build avengers panthers and coofus hit which made a ultra tight contract fall apart. Speaking of which, tepper bought those 20k cleaning robots.

Last years staff was the highest paid in the NFL. He's hired extra strength and sport psychology people.

While he's failed, but its not due to penny pinching.

when tepper came in and brought in rhule i was very excited because he said all the right things about embracing a lot of the new elements of sports science, like really intense diets, tracking movements, heat maps, etc. Bringing a lot of the stuff in that like soccer and nba has been doing for a while. All those were very optimistic early signs.

Of course all we got was a turf that feeds on cruciate ligaments, projectile gin and sodas and a new superstar in the Greenville hotwife scene.

I mean you dont think its a difference between practicing in a ball room and a actual field then i dont know what to tell you lol

Those eras still managed playoffs and Super Bowls.

Until the management of this team and roster changes….best equipment in the world won’t matter

Facilities are like everything else in professional franchise sports. Just win and the amenities take care of themselves. No team ever lost a football game because their locker room wasn’t state of the art. If luxury is a motivating factor for onfield performance, there are bigger problems at play than how many ice baths are available.

it doesnt matter so much about the wins and losses....its about providing a proper up to date environment for the players to train and and prepare for games like every other team. You bring up players and superbowls but how much of that has the team consistently accomplished since the inception? It aint a lot and right now we are the worst team in the last the couple years compared to other teams who have these things in place. Also players who are free agents factor things like this in their decision making when choosing teams, they really care how the organization is ran and what they have.... thats something you might want to keep in mind when bring up management and roster lol

    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
    • I hear you but yeah like you say, above average. His numbers were good. You’d think it would be a no brainer. Anyhow… I guess the new staff is also fine with him walking?    I hope if we sign him there isn’t some secret issue of his that led to him not being valued.
