I can't have a season not engaged in the team. Post to try to get motivated for the upcoming season. Help us get enthusiastic.

Figuratively, anything could happen with this season. Might as well tune in, cheer for the team and enjoy hope for as long as we have it.

That's football.

And, yeah, sometimes hope only lasts until that first game, partway through the first quarter.

And then sometimes they send in some nobody back up QB who'd never got a shot before and he wins that game. And then he goes on to march the team to a Super Bowl.

I mean, lightning could strike twice.

That team broke the matrix. If Jake doesn’t come in at half, the season never happens. Big Kris blocking kicks. Double OT X clown. Ricky manning jr 3 picks in Philly, beating Manning in Indy, coming back in the SB and taking a lead against the GOAT in the 4th quarter. 2 HOF’ers, All pro Stephen Davis for peanuts. Some no name who played backup to Kurt Warner in NFL Europe?

It’s one of the greatest NFL stories of all time.

Jake to Proehl.

Greatest Panther season to me. Ahead of 2015. 2015 team may have been better but that year was just freaking great.

There are two positive outcomes to this season. One, Bryce balls out and we have a chance at the playoffs. Two, Bryce shows he isn’t the guy and we don’t waste more than two seasons starting him. Most likely get a top pick next April.

And something in between, scares me the most.

I agree wholeheartedly.

So, is Bryce Young today’s Rodney Peete? That must make Luton Delhomme

    • I was never onboard with Morgan to begin with.  The dude always seemed a hammer short of a full tool bag, maybe too many concussions.  He was a Fitterer hold over and I thought he should have been gone when Fitts went.  He literally made it to NFL GM with no credentials to speak of other than a playing career.  Shorts stints of personnel management for the Seahawks and Bills, neither organization choosing promotion or retention.  I believe Morgan was added as a friendly face to sooth the a fanbase that was growing to hate Tepper and probably retained for the same reason.  Morgan never coached, had minimal front office experience and the GM he "assisted" was deservedly fired.  From what I can find online he received a BA in Liberal Arts from Miami so that isn't exactly a qualification either.
    • If you really want to change the identity of the culture, then your opinion may indeed be the way to go. 1) I see nothing from our drafts since 2020 to indicate that either the scouts or the GM's are shrew evaluators of college talent. 2) A new GM should be able to hire a coach since his livelihood is directly affected by how well the coach can get the team to perform on Sundays. The only time I'm ok with a GM keeping the coach that proceeded his hiring is if the new GM wants to work with the coach. Ideally, He should have final say over the coach instead of the owner. And, that coach and GM need to be in sync on how the team should be run on both sides of the ball. 3) A new coach should be able to pick his own staff. If he wants to keep a coach already on the staff that's fine. A new HC hire shouldn't be told that you have to use this guy for one of the jobs, especially a position as important OC or DC.
    • The crazy thing is some of these plays that went down to like 2 on the play clock were basic inside zone runs. That poo shouldn't take 30+ seconds to decide when you are down 24... It's not like they had to hot route multiple receivers and change blocking assignments after lining up. It's almost like Canales has somebody else's playbook and needs to flip through 10 pages to try and figure out what play he is going to run
