Boise State, Penn State, SMU, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Miami shouldn't get in by your standard. None of those have any big wins and ND has a terrible loss against NIU. Let's just put all these crappy 3 loss SEC teams in.

So Florida doesn't count as a big win?

Last I checked they're the bestest team in the country and have a superstar QB. Or does that only count when they beat middling SEC teams like LSU and Ole Miss?

"Better Talent" is that Clemson bias showing. South Carolina this year, especially on the defensive side of the ball is possible the best in the nation.

We’ll agree to disagree.  Maybe change my wording to better roster would have been more accurate. Gamecocks have some nice defensive players….but they are also thinner than Clemson all around.

it’s at Clemson.  Dabo.  Better overall roster.  And they are favored slightly….which essentially supports my prior post that either could win but if you had to pick without a dog in the race Clemson is the smarter pick.

straight up vs Carolina? I trust Clemson’s O more than Carolina’s.    Top 10 vs top 60 with the QB edge.  And Clemson’s D has some real studs on it too.

Which is what Vegas says.

I’ll make my pick game day.  Will depend on who can and can’t suit up for Clemson.  Carolina has been much healthier this year.

But ST could be the difference.  That Louisville game exposed some massive flaws in their kick game.  You don’t really want ST weakness showing itself vs Beamer.  And the 1 Gamecock win of the last decade….ST was the decider IMO.

Travis Hunter sealed his Heisman trophy today. Sucks they didn't show up last week. Playoffs would have been more exciting with Colorado in the playoffs.

*As I was writing this Hunter just made another crazy TD catch for his 3rd TD lol

Yeah I was thinking either Hunter or the Boise St RB, but Hunter should have it now.

Hunter and Jeanty have the strongest Heisman resumes I just don't know if they'll give it to a non-playoff team player. They might need Miami to choke down the stretch.

Hunter was the best player in college football. Jeanty wins it any other year, but when you have a guy who a finalist on offense and defense it's pretty much a no brainer to give it to the guy who is elite on both sides of the ball.

Also I'm shocked Hunter made it a full season playing both sides. Kid is unreal.

Yeah, I think you got to go Jeanty.  He will finish the year off carrying his team to the CFP with one of the greatest rushing seasons of all time.

Things will look good for S. Car if they beat Clemson tomorrow 😄

Decent odds Clemson is down 3 starters on the OL tomorrow. It’s a wrap for Clemson if that’s the case.   SC could get style points on top of a good win

    • Number 9  Carolina Panthers  Bryce Young, the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, produced career highs in completion percentage (63.6%), passing yards per game (188.2) and passing touchdowns (23) in 2025. However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down. He threw for the third-fewest passing yards by a quarterback to make the playoffs in the last 20 seasons, per CBS Sports Research.  FEWEST PASSING YARDS BY QB TO REACH PLAYOFFS, LAST 20 SEASONS (MIN. 16 STARTS) PASSING YARDS PLAYOFF WINS 2012 Christian Ponder (MIN) 2,935 0 2008 Joe Flacco (BAL) 2,971 2 2025 Bryce Young (CAR) 3,011 0 2006 Steve McNair (BAL) 3,050 0 2019 Josh Allen (BUF) 3,089 0 Young did deliver some high highs, like when he threw for a franchise-record 448 yards passing in a Week 11 overtime win at the Atlanta Falcons and when he went toe-to-toe with Stafford in the playoffs in a 34-31 defeat.  Kenny Pickett couldn't win the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition a year ago, and Will Grier is a career backup.
