Texas uses him like Taysem Hill anytime they put him in the game. I'm not sure what the hype is all about.

The hype is he is a manning, he is fast, his arm is jaw dropping and his highlights thus far are mesmerizing.  I would prefer 2 solid years of production before you draft someone but in this case if he has a decent to good year he is going #1 and there probably isnt a close 2nd.   Texas will be the most watched team next year but a long shot because of him and the media/fan hype.

Seems physically very similar to Herbert and Maye. We'll see how he plays as a full time starter. It was gonna be interesting to see if Texas would force Ewers out if he won them a natty but with them coming up short and him not playing well in the loss id say that book is closed. He's out and Arch is gonna be in. They have an entire off-season to listen to their fans and probably their boosters talking about how Arch should've been playing THIS year.

Any other qb with the exact same skills would get some hype, but would largely be unknown to college football fans at large.

I am not saying he is not the next Joe Montana.  Just saying the hype is mostly due to his name.  If some other guy lit up four sub 500 teams, only a few hardcore college football fans would be talking about him.
