And it's not ugly already?

Plummer can't possibly be worse than Bryce was the first 2 weeks. Throwing 4-5 picks is one thing, but being afraid to even attempt throws past 5 yards and overthrowing guys by 5 yards on routine throws is something even most reasonably athletic guys off the street could manage if thrown into an NFL game.

Having said that, I think Bryce has to realize this game is basically his last shot to show that he can even begin to live up to his draft status. If he goes out and lays an egg the way he did against the Saints and Chargers he's for sure cemented as a bust.

If he at least shows some improvement and some signs of life it could be at least enough to get some teams more interested in trading more than a 5th rounder for him.

Panthers villains... There really needs to be a separate room for pre Bryce Young fugups.

just lay it out as to who really made the call on Young and also, after seeing the results of that decision ... who was behind the associated urgency to double down and build (overbuild) an unsinkable offense to hide him in? Damn the expense and damn the impact on the rest of the team (defense).

Lay that out in detailed fashion, without the Hunger Games gossip drama cryptic treatment this time. We'll have the biggest villains and yes men.

the glove fits, so you can't acquit

Carolina Panthers Hire Dan Morgan as GM - Sports Illustrated Carolina ...

I agree. But Canales doesn't see it that way it appears. Or he is forced to.

Sure he can. I'm not saying this to promote Young. I am saying it becuase it's the Panthers.

I really hope we get to see it.  I'm a Bryce hater but Plummer doesn't belong in the NFL.  His job was to make Bryce look serviceable by comparison.

I think he agrees, and will make a point this week showcasing once again how terrible Bryce is. With Andy’s injury, that is what I would do

It failed then. They basically looked like the same guy. Except one was the #1 overall pick and the other an afterthought of a UDFA. Ouch.

I don't understand the statement "what he done to the fanbase ". As far as I know he hasn't touched any fans beyond a handshake now and then. If watching him play effects you physically and emotionally then I think the problem is with you. You may not want to watch football anymore if it has that kind of effect on you.

I know he stinks as a qb but cmon, some if you act like he ran over your dog or boned your mom or something.

Ian Thomas has scammed this team out of more money than anyone and the outrage for that guy is nothing more than a mouse fart. Young will be gone when they can move him so be patient.

He’s absolutely created a rift that wasn’t there before, between the vocal, annoying people who think “Bryce can’t fail he can only be failed” and everyone else with developed frontal lobes.

and being less of a scam than Ian thomas is a given. Enron and Madoff would have walked if they could have compared their accusations against Ian.

    • I see it this way, we could beat the Saints on the road, Seattle at home.  Will probably lose to the Niners and Rams. That means we are 8-7 excluding the Bucs games.  For us to win the division, we could hope to tie the Bucs and win the head-to-head. to do that, we have to sweep Tampa Bay and finish 10-7 (yes--the Saints loss is killer). Here is why: The Bucs, on the other hand, have an EASY schedule.  AT HOME:  Cardinals, Falcons, Saints, Panthers.  AWAY:  Panthers and Dolphins.  I see them winning at least 4 more games.  If they beat the Cards, the Falcons, the Saints, and the Dolphins, they have 10 wins.  Probably expected because no team has over 4 wins except the Panthers. Even if Baker is out, I see them winning 4 down the stretch, making their overall record 10-7 if they lose both games to the Panthers.  If so, we go. While it could happen; I sense the Panthers are starting to feel it, but I thought that before the home game vs. New Orleans, so we shall see.  I give the Panthers about a 10-20% chance of pulling it off
    • When we played the Cowboys, nobody really believed we could win.  And we did. We can do it, we just can’t afford anymore Bryce 125 yard passing days.  If he’s gonna be the guy, act like it.  Lead the team and win some games.  Make the tough plays when it matters.
    • Yeah, IIRC, that picture was what made it all click like, “wow!  He seems to know a lot about Matt, argues passionately for and about him, and looks almost identical to him.”  It also explains the complete meltdown and then the eventual exit.  I can’t remember a ton of our interactions prior to him going off the rails, but I remember thinking, as you said, he was a valuable contributor.  You’re right, idk that there has ever been a crazier turn, not even in the WWE.🤣
