There can be multiple things true at one time.

The Panthers can be an awful organization ran by the Tepper's. And Bryce Young can always have been doomed as a starting QB in this league regardless of destination. The biggest thing about Bryce aside from everything he lacks on the field is he has absolutely no fire in his belly or a chip on his shoulder. That will get you a bust at #1 overall regardless of extenuating circumstances.

You have zero fuging clue what he has in his “belly”. This is where yall start going too far man. I spend a lot of time around athletes. Stop thinking yall know their mental makeup through a television screen. You do not. Criticize his performance, that’s fair, but you do not know what he’s thinking. You don’t know how he feels.

I expect better from someone like you bro. Remember when the entire media AND people her called Cam “a bad loser, Mr. Mopey head”. When it was really just a culture shock to the losing culture that he got dropped into.

Oh come on with the melodrama man let's be two real adults here. He's sitting on 38 million dollars guaranteed no matter what happens. He's been handed starting gigs since high school.

Nobody is out to get Bryce Young. He wanted to be the #1 pick. He sat out the combine in order to ensure he would be in this position. He gamed the system. He got what he wanted and this is what comes with the territory.

Mentioning Bryce in the same sentence as Cam in this aspect is honestly disrespectful and you of all people should know better. Bryce Young has never in his life had to go through the adversity that Cam Newton did before he even got to Auburn. Bryce has had the absolute best to work with since high school and has walked his way into starting positions on some of the best teams. Cam Newton conversely had to work his ass off just to shed the reputation of being a bad person for little more than a simple mistake over a laptop. Then he had to EARN his way back to being a starter. He proceeded to carry an Auburn team to a championship win. He was a champion through and through not just on the field but in life. That's why it was a culture shock for him. I have no idea why I'm having to explain this difference to you considering all your bluster over Cam Newton through the years.

In actuality and we've had this discussion before and you usually change the subject or take off but CJ Stroud is actually the correct comparison for Cam Newton as far as predraft treatment and overall perception of him and his character goes. Bryce Young in no way shape or form fits that bill. He's had every excuse afforded to him for a long time and been treated like royalty. Now people are acknowledging his shortcomings and while I sympathize with him on a personal level. Again I emphasize. He wanted this. He got it. All anyone has ever wanted to see is him display himself worthy of the selection. Myself included.

Surprisingly 228 for 2 TDs and 2 picks. X ups his game.

We’re living in end times.

Do I win a Nostradamus award.

Actual: 224 yards, 2 TDs, 2 picks and X had a nice TD grab.

Damn shame Kittle, MH junior and McConkey rode the pine on my fantasy team. I lost by 20 points.

    • Would be happy with Lomu or Iheanachor at 19. Fano is intriguing but I don't think he makes it.
    • II see it this way: We have to look at long-term needs and current depth.  We have filled some key spots with players on one-year contracts.  I firmly believe that they intend to pay Bryce some big bucks next year.  That means you cannot hope that your rookies in 2027 can fill the spots vacated by the veterans you could not afford to re-sign.   We need to consider the cap and the fact that the need to start a rookie is not viewed as a positive by coaches and general managers, but they value first contracts--so it is a delicate balance. I think they have to look at the cap by position--"Can we afford a $50m QB and a $100m OL?  That is half the cap, before you pay your WRs and RBs and TEs.  They need to start getting younger on the OL as well.   I am not suggesting that we draft OT in round 1, but we could and I would get it.  RT on a 1-year deal, they may have intel about Ickey (who was not the best LT, to be honest) and 32-year old Moton is on a bad wheel.   Now if you go by Morgan's history, you can almost tell what position we are going to address with the first pick by noting the positions he has not focused on in free agency.  DT, considering the lack of performance by those not named Derrick Brown and the loss of Robinson, is screaming to be addressed with a top player.  Wharton is not an early down DT (DE if you want to get technical) and our LBs need to be clean--they were not in 2025.  Look for a DT early. I also think we will address ILB (pass covering Will) on day 2.  The other day 2 pick will be an OT, in my view. Do not rule out CB.  We are thin there too, and Jackson is in his final year.  I am not sure that we love Smith-Wade.  Some crackhead on here talked about moving him to S----stay tuned.   Hopefully, a team wanting Ty Simpson will move up and offer us a pick or two to move back. DT WILB OT OC QB  (you heard it here 337th--but this pick could come sooner than you think.
    • Bryce had some bad games, but he had some good ones as well (and this is coming from a Bryce skeptic). I think it's a little simplistic to put all the offensive woes on Bryce, you also should be looking at O-line play, receiver play, RB and TE play, and also coaching. There's no way when I look at the offense in it's totality am I ready to say that a so-so to bad offense was all on Bryce, and, I also can't say that we don't need to upgrade any position on offense, save Tetairoa McMillan (who also wasn't perfect) and maybe the starting guards and T-mo.
