All the QBs in 2023 seem to be struggling. Stround is still the best but even he is going through a sophomore slump. Thankfully the team around him is good enough to win even when he has a down day.

7th in passing yards 10th in passing touchdowns 13th in passer rating the only thing outside the top 15 is completion % but he's still at 66.5.

If that's a slump sign me up.

Plus Nico, his top WR, has been out. Diggs is also injured now.

And Tank dell got shot in the leg in the off-season (he was an innocent bystander who was at the wrong place at the wrong time).

I mean, Mac Jones has a below average NFL arm too. We are splitting hairs on that account.

I meant looks like a valid 2nd/3rd string NFL QB like Mac Jones.

I don't think you realize just how weak Bryce's arm is compared to even Mac Jones'. There is below-average NFL arm, and then there is not-an-NFL-arm-at-all.

Bryce might become a 2nd/3rd stringer... in the Arenal Football League.

NFL seems to have a quarterback development issue. Entire league appears to be struggling with it.

The college game is just moving so far away from what the NFL is with the portal and NIL. Simple is the name of the game in college now.

Even "can't miss" guys like Lawrence and Darnold are taking a very long time to develop.

The guys that can run will always have an advantage early, but they are also much more likely to get hurt. Not sure we will ever see an era of Quarterbacks like the mid 2000's to the mid 2010's again.

Yeah he is still playing well. Just saying he is hitting a minor slump. Which is to be expected since teams know him now.

It looks like a real fan writing it. It is an easy thing to speculate on the face of it but they are both guaranteed deals and we don't have space to trade Bryce and take on something else. In the first place.

When is the last QB for QB trade? I know there have been some.

Yeah, I mean if you are trying to sell me.on Mac Jones having a much bigger arm than Bryce, I am just not gonna be the guy that buys that. Nor really would almost anyone.

I didn't say much bigger. Watch the highlights I linked. Bryce doesn't have the arm strength and/or talent to make the vast majority of the throws Mac made in that video.

    • Honestly I haven no idea what I would have even done last night, Edgecomb was the most realistic option to improve our team
    • He doesn't have the athleticism to play in the NBA. He had the worst numbers of anyone who worked out in this draft. He's legitimately the least athletic player in this draft, which is saying something.   His ceiling is Kyle Korver, with his lack of athleticism he's more likely to be out of the league in 5-6 years like Jimmer Fredette.
    • Well, he was in probably every NBA franchise's top 6 or 7. Obviously it's nice to take the swing and it work out. But when a guy refuses to work out for your team, is probably the guy refusing to play with LaMelo, has sketchy handlers, etc.? You want...to take that swing? A desperate team does, sure. Which the Hornets are. But a smart team doesn't. Which is what they will hopefully become.  Kon isn't a superstar, but his floor is Kyle Korver. Is that what you want in the 4th pick? Not really, but he's your 4th guy on a good team and what I think Charles Lee wants in a player.  Trade down would've been nice, but for who? Tre Johnson would've been my guy, but he's gone if we trade with Brooklyn. If Washington wanted Ace, I doubt it would've taken much to come get him. Trade down and get Maluach (knowing you're trading Mark) would make sense and may have been the play, but I think Kon helps the team on the court and changing a culture. Not so sure about some of the guys in the 8-12 range.
