this is classic CYA by the team.  If you think a swap of a 5th and a 6th is the best offer then I am not even sure what to tell you all things considered.  Hopkins is 3 years older and injury prone, D adams has been known to be a malcontent and yet..................

edit: it's on him, the low return. He put things out there. On the field, in the postgame comments. I bet that lil act cost him some money when he wants that next deal.

So we have had at least 3 players and 2 maybe 3 journalist come out and say he was a good teammate and they never saw problem.  Certainly makes you wonder

You're always gonna have guys who won't say anything negative about a teammate. And Canales has made it pretty clear he doesn't want dirty laundry aired.

Stuff has a way of getting out eventually though. Won't surprise me if we hear stuff down the road.

It is best people take the high road. I like to see that in the players. But he did what he did that we know about. There was likely a locker room rant or display of frustration to teammates, the usual stuff. Doesn’t really matter.

Dont try to rationalize with him, it doesnt work.  How would a league source know what 3 other teams were offering?  this is clearly a CYA panther leak to try and minimize the damge.  There is simply no reason to not wait 48 hours or so and see what you could come up with.  Morgan panicked and got got........again

lets not also forget, we received better compensation (6th and future 7th) from Robby(ie) "chosen" Andersen when he was kicked out of the game from Steve wilks after he had a meltdown with a coach on sideline

That's not how I read that. I read that as a "no comment". If he was perceived as a good teammate, they would have said it. They would have likely said it if he was only mildly annoying. Saying nothing.....that's the equivalent of  "yes, that guy was a cancer. But we're not going to come out and say it."
