y’all hung up stat lines like that tells the whole story.

Agreed.  The yard total is irrelevant.  All that matters is that when he threw, he made more than he missed.  And he threw the ball down the field several times.  Not to many side/outlet passes.

I still don't think he is going to be the guy going forward, but it was nice to see some improvement that gives slight hope.

They should be okay with the playoffs but if they could choke such a gimme game away, who knows. Absolutely have to play better.

They'll make the playoffs but they're not contenders. Their OL is trash and the end result of that is that they have no running game and Stroud is constantly under pressure.

Stroud is the second most sacked in the NFL so far. They are most likely not a serious contender for that reason. The last time you saw something like that was the Burrow run but the Texans and Stroud are not nearly as good as that Cincy offense.

Chuba Hubbard carried our offense today. It's the biggest cope of all time to be spiking the football over a 126 yard passing performance in an OT game. He had 32 yards after halftime. Bryce sucked today and we won despite that. The D stepped up and Chuba carried the load. That's the story today. 126 yards... LOL

i didn’t say BY was the greatest QB, i said he was outplaying the two in the late game. BY played well, but not great. he missed some throws, and had some good throws dropped. he made some good decisions, and not really any bad ones.

but if you want to cherry pick stats, ok, both QBs in the late game had multiple picks, 7 between them. BY had none. betterer, which is all i was claiming.

Let's see what happens when Nico Collins comes back, he was leading the entire league in receiving before he got hurt. Their running game has been good as long as Mixon has been healthy, last night was really the first time it's been shut down and it was against a Lions team that's been good against the run and sold out to stop it.

Unless they have OL injured that are going to return I'm not seeing a fix for their issues. It's the trenches.

    • I would tend to agree about not falling into the trap and paying a below average QB, but sometimes situations can “force” a team to pay that QB. For example, if we play ourselves into a 9-8 like record, then what options will we have in the draft? Or do we avoid the draft and trade for or sign someone in free agency?  I’m not convinced by the 2026 QB draft class. There’s some intriguing prospects but no one that really screams “draft me”. I’m not sure we’ve got anyone really that stands out as a trade candidate or free agent signing. So although we might not want to commit a big money contract to Young, him playing well and showing progress might force the team’s hand.
    • Realistically we would be looking at no more than a mid round pick for Dowdle or Chuba. Are we really that desperate for a mid round pick? Not really. I would much prefer us utilise the two RBs in a 1-2 punch similar to how we used D-Will and Stewart. After all, Bryce is not Drew Brees. He won’t throw for 300+ yards and carry the team consistently as a passer. So having a strong running game with a 1-2 punch will be beneficial to him, and it will also be beneficial to the RBs because we can spell them and not overwork them.
    • The Jets and Bill's are statistically worse
