Best of the offense

1. RG Robert Hunt: 84.9
2. RT Taylor Moton: 78.8
3. LG Damien Lewis: 77.3
4. OL Chandler Zavala: 74.0
5. QB Bryce Young: 71.4

The hog mollies put their hard hats on in Germany, allowing just one sack of Young and opening up holes for running back Chuba Hubbard’s career-high 153 rushing yards. If we were to extend this list to six players, center Cade Mays (67.7) would enter the discussion thanks to his admirable showing against Giants defensive lineman Dexter Lawrence II.

Young completed 15 of his 25 throws for 126 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions. His 71.4 mark is second-highest in a start this season.

Best of the defense

1. ILB Josey Jewell: 84.1
2. OLB DJ Johnson: 74.7
3. OLB D.J. Wonnum: 74.7
4. DT A’Shawn Robinson: 72.5
5. CB Caleb Farley: 70.0

Jewell outlawed New York’s chances at a victory, as he recorded his first interception of the season and recovered the fumble that set up the game-winning field goal. That fumble was caused by Robinson, who totaled four pressures and five stops against his former squad.

Wonnum made a big splash in his Panthers debut, notching a team-high five pressures.

Worst of the offense

13. WR Xavier Legette: 57.5
14. RB Miles Sanders: 57.4
15. WR Deven Thompkins: 56.6
16. LT Brady Christensen: 53.4
17. TE Ian Thomas: 52.7

Christensen wasn’t as solid as his line mates, allowing four pressures en route to a 36.9 pass-blocking grade.

Yeah, people kept singing BC's praises but that was by far the worst game he played all year. He was getting beat like a snare drum.

Legette body catches too much for my comfort.  To the point he will jump to body catch a ball when he could just reach up and grab it.  Not sure if that's a fixable trait - legit not sure, I just don't know of any data on it in either direction.

He is not a natural ball catcher in the slightest. Not sure he will ever be, TBH.

    • OK, fair enough--however, since my point was that drafting a QB in the top 10 is stupid, if you consider the players who were not drafted in the top 10 or those who WERE drafted in the top 10 and did not secure starting positions with the team that drafted them, you should see the point.  Is it smart to draft a QB in the top 10 when only 4 are still starting for the team that drafted them.  Next, consider that half of that number, 2, were drafted outside the first round.  Next, there are 4 (Goff, Mayfield, Jones, and Darnold) who are starting on other teams after busting.   That number could increase as Arizona seems ready to move on from Murray, Miami is not sold on Tua, and jacksonville is still waiting for Trevor to start looking elite.  Bryce?   So to answer your question, there are MANY more QBs in the NFL who have busted and become starters on other rosters, were drafted after day 1, or are still on the cusp than the four who have become elite.  I thought that point was made.
    • I’m more upset that we are changing uniforms in the middle of this road win streak. We have won our last 3 road games in Silver Helmets, White Jerseys, and Blue Pants. We are supposedly wearing Black Helmets, White Jerseys, Black Pants this week… I am a superstitious person
    • He did so well they are moving him to RB, Legette to QB, and Moton to TE…. Interesting. Coker might struggle at LT https://www.panthers.com/news/panthers-release-depth-chart-ahead-of-week-12-for-the-2025-season
