If it’s a significant neuro injury he wouldn’t be discharged.

That makes sense, but I tend to consider concussions to be serious injuries and it seemed likely that was at minimum what happened. Great news overall given how it looked!

They changed the report from concussion to a neck injury. It looked potentially catastrophic the way he came down on his head like that, could have paralyzed him. But he was moving immediately so that was a good sign. Could still have had a bad injury to his neck though. Hope he’s ok, he’s been REALLY improving lately.

Ahhh I somehow missed it was changed from a concussion, I thought they were evaluating a neck injury. Thanks for the clarification!

He's definitely been improving

Please show compassion and stop the sick joke.  As much as they are well paid to entertain us the are human like us. They are brothers fathers husband sons. It’s sick some of us have to be reminded.

Not to mention he is showing signs that he COULD be the franchise's next Greg Olson. We should all hope he is fine.

They’re not

Depends on the concussion. I remember retired UFC fighter TJ Grant won a title eliminator fight and suffered a concussion in training preparing for his title shot. He was never able to come back from it. No big deal, right? We'll just push the fight back a few months. Nope. Forced him into retirement. He never lost a fight by KO/TKO.

I meant in the general context of neuro trauma. I’ve never seen an adult admitted for just a concussion.

And yeah Michael Oher, numerous other CTE occasions. I dunno if one bad one is worse than multiple mild ones but to say it's not serious is ridiculous. I got a mild one with whiplash in a car wreck and walked away fine but couldn't remember to grab my wallet or keys for at least a week.

    • I mean, if Moore really wants out, then it would behoove the Bears to make it happen sooner than later. X is a lot younger and cheaper, and may be a better fit for Johnson's musings than a disgruntled, unnecessary, overpaid vet. If they can dump his salary and maybe get a fourth or so in return, it may be worth it to them. As for development, I'm not concerned. You're talking about a seeming bust, a day three guy and a UDFA. They are developing relative to their ceilings. I doubt any of them will ever command the coverage, money, or the respect that Moore has acquired. He's a tier above them. Yes, even X.
    • IMO, if Ceedee plays against us, the game probably goes the other way. Same with Tyreek Hill and the Dolphins. Our team just isn't designed to beat teams with two high level receivers like that. But when you look at the league, how many teams really have two guys of that caliber?  There's nothing wrong with defensive adjustments, but sometimes I think a lot of fans want Evero to call a different play like a game on madden, and defensive football just isn't like that. That said, I thought we did a much better job this season against the Cowboys of flipping Jaycee and at least making them work for it, opposed to last season when they literally just lined CeeDee up on the other side of the field every single snap.  For us to just straight up switch to consistent man coverage, or a different zone, or whatever, we likely would consistently need different personnel on the field. Doing it a few times a game is a gamble and can work, but if we consistently run man coverage against the Cowboys, eventually a RB is going to beat a linebacker, or something of that nature with our personnel. Part of the reason Evero likes this scheme is that, while we have our defaults and presets, what we do is very multiple, and you can do a lot of different things pre and post snap. We are a challenging defense to read. But as you said, if guys are getting beat, it doesn't really matter what you call.
