I don't think that's true about every throw Dalton can. That ignores having Dalton come in to throw the Hail Mary, just for one.  But he played well.

There is a big disparity in terms of 15 yards+ between Dalton and Bryce on the year.  Dalton is just flat out better on the season downfield than Bryce.

still been saying, Canales isnt perfect, but he's been good.  His worst games have been what we'd consider average Reich or Rhule.  He had to learn to lean more on his run game, and he has.  Helps that Hunt and Lewis have been dominant and Hubbard has propelled to the next level.

Yeah at one point last season we took our first overall pick off the field in favor of an aging Andy Dalton to have him throw a hail mary. If you weren't a Panthers fan you would laugh. Obviously Bryce looked better in many phases but there are still situations where his arm limits what the offense can do. It should not be controversial to acknowledge that reality that we've all seen with our own two eyes. That's why many people myself included want to see new additions to the QB room in 2025 regardless of what transpires the rest of the season.
