I’m thinking we split with the Bucs, beat the Cowboys and pull out close ones over either the Cardinals or Falcons. For FA we should do everything we can to get Azeez Ojulari to bolster our pass rush.

He was the name that popped off the list for me as well.

As far as the rest of the season I based off how we progressed as a team these last few weeks, the Eagles are the only game I'd pencil in a L. Besides that we're playing on the level or better then Bucs/Atl/Az etc is say 4-2 not what I want but our offense is should be able to score consistently on any of the last few opponents and no one left has a defense comparable to the Chiefs but that's why the game is played on the field and not in forum chats.

Just put this together, only thing not pictured is I cut Dane Jackson too. Also, none of the retained players have guesses at their salary aside from league minimum but I consider them all FA pieces with high probability of being retained, but honestly anyone close to 30 can be easily replaced with a younger cheaper option such as Woods or Scott. I think Moton and Thielen are valuable, just not at their price tag, I would love to have both back at rightsized deals, even Moton, who could retire a Panther with a team friendly extension wouldn't be bad. Also we could save a lot of money extending Jaycee Horn as well which is not pictured:

The Panthers can't beat the Eagles unless they fall apart. The Bucs, Falcons, & Cardinals are all in must win spots today for a playoff spot or their division titles. The Cowboys are playing much better team ball since me-me-me went on IR. One win possible in the rest of season, IMO

    • Night and day difference in the front office investements.  Since Morgan has been in the FO (5 years)....4 out of 5 first round picks have been offensive players.  The one defensive pick was a corner. Expand it out to the first 2 rounds? 7 out of the 9 picks have been offensive.  That IMO is why our D sucks so bad.   You build defenses up front.   Carolina hasn't been investing there.  Ron's first 5 years? 3 of the 5 first round picks were defensive players.  Expand it all to include second rounders  7 of the 10 picks were defensive.  All front 7 players.
    • I think he gets this year to show what he can do.  Last year, we had a lot of injuries. This year, we should have some players, even if we lose one or two.  It's the first preseason game.  Some of the starters weren't even in it.  There is no scheming or game planning.  Let's see how guys do when it counts. I think we have a GM that knows a thing or two about defense.  Let it play out.
    • I was ok with the mentor aspect of keeping Dalton, but wow has he fallen off the deep end. The slow behind the WR interception was awful. I keep hearing our WRs created no separation, but on that particular play dude was wide open and Dalton couldn't get it to him with a clean pocket. Next year, we need to address the backup QB spot haaaaaard!
