Bryce May Not Be the Answer

I mean we are not a good team bro. I think he proved a lot since the benching. The teams we were competitive against were playoff caliber teams. This idea that Bryce must win every game with this horrible roster is kind of crazy.

He's no longer the problem. The entire team played bad today. This wasn't on Bryce it was on the team.

Bryce may not have been the only problem today, but he was one of the bigger ones.

Damn Willy and Frank both turned on me. I respected you OG's. Why y'all coming at me for defending Bryce?

Brother nobody is coming at you for defending him it's how your positions change with the wind. If you want to feel the way you do by all means do your thing. But acting indignant toward others is absurd.

Sure, it seems like Bryce is regressing, but our line play was terrible.

He doesn't play in a vacuum.

You're right. He doesn't.  But many of us want a QB that elevates the team consistently and the reality is this game is more like Bryce in terms of his overall history than the the last 3

The fumbles were bad and he has to clean that up. That’s all on him.

The pick over the middle to Thielen was the wrong read but I also thought Thielen got held and that’s what caused the pop up. That’s why Thielen was visibly pissed on the sidelines.

The second pick was inexcusable. I have no idea what we was looking at. Thielen was wide open heading to the end zone. Bryce basically throws it to the one place you can’t throw it…under thrown with three defenders in pursuit. That was horrific. But…I don’t think he makes that mistake often.

He started the game off strong. Hes got to hold onto the ball.

Man he had me starting to question my opinion the last few weeks, but he went and revealed his true colors again.

That horrible weak armed throw to Thielen did it for me. That and every time he got touched the ball flew out of his hands.

His a backup folks, move on.

We slammed Darnold constantly for less fumbles.

When did my opinion change?

After the benching he has played well. I think he's proven that he should be our QB next year. I was off the bandwagon before the benching. Now that he's played well he's earned my respect.

I for one am looking forward to another wasted season next year of Is He Or Isn't He!

Yeah I can see it coming. I’m fine with letting him finish the season. I don’t know if I can take another year of this horseshit though. I’ve been a fan a long time, it’s getting beyond ridiculous if we do this again.

    • A team should do everything they can to prop up their investment in a QB regardless of who it is.
    • I am not wanting to be too judgemental of Morgan over his first draft given the circumstances.  People don’t like my rationale but you know, I don’t so much like theirs either.  I was adamantly against drafting Bryce and very resentful over the extreme (imo) measures taken to prop him up. I feel like Dan got caught in that trap with demands or conditions placed on him to help out the QB and the new Offensive minded head coach.  And my biased opinion is that it was still all Bryce centric. Micro managed and solely focused on making him a viable player after his first disastrous season. Mandated to help the offense in that draft.  I feel like my speculation is reasonable given the climate and situation, and it includes the reasons we didn’t take a C, the reasons we overdrafted a RB and that particular WR. It was totally need based. Perceived needs. All to maximize Bryce.    And if it were me, and I wanted the GM slot of my team that I came up with, I would be willing to accede to the agenda that I feel was in place. The goals he had to meet.  It is pretty simple, just put Bryce’s needs at the center of everything that was done and work your way through it.  I have no idea or inside info, and people have mocked my opinion for it but that is what it is, it still makes sense to me.
