All of Bryce’s weapons that left the team

They were all terrible and Bryce was also terrible when they were here. Both are true.

Imagine you're a rookie and this is what they surround you with in addition to a terrible offensive line.  Of course you'll be terrible.  Thielen was his only reliable receiver.

You should be getting paid by his PR team for your work here. Truly dedicated.

And your dedication to turn every thread into an anti Bryce tirade is exemplary, even the ones that have nothing to do with Bryce.

Stop making these threads @NAS. We get it, you think Bryce is the future and you like to find blame elsewhere for his poor play. LET IT GO. You can stop trying.

I don't know if he's the future yet, but I'm still hopeful.   I do know there's way too much imbalance in the discourse.  He's compared to other quarterbacks so it's only fair to remember just how bad this roster has been.

Wanting competition for a 2nd year QB that is 31st in passing yards should not be a controversial stance. It's common sense.

Put Young on any team and tell me you would fear playing that team. LOL. He isn't good and he isn't going to ever be good. He just doesn't have it at this level. He peaked in school and it was always obvious. That list is just more proof they have made massive talent and roster evaluation errors while forcing it where they hardly make an impact on other teams. Go a head an add Young to that list when he leaves here, he should keep to that curve. If that wasn't the Panther's current situation then they would be airing the game tomorrow. This is not a secret anymore and anyone still talking growth or next year is just clowning themselves.

Bryce earned that imbalance.

Sure, he got lemons. But so far he's made piss water. Drake Maye, who is arguably in a worse situation than Bryce was, is looking real.

Maybe add how many snaps/targets each guys gotten since leaving to paint a fairer picture. It's not like they're getting the same minutes and not putting up the same numbers Bryce got them

I think it paints exactly the full picture - they're not good enough to sniff the field and targets on other teams.

No doubt, Drake Maye looks like the better prospect and I always thought he would project well to the NFL ever since I saw him 3 years ago at Carolina.  But he's also in a better situation both in terms of roster and coaching his first year.

    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
    • Very true on the length but stuff like this is never where we shine. We aren’t a good team at drafting.
    • Homerism aside, the more I see from Dan, the more impressed I am.  His player evaluation instincts. Last year his 2 premier FA signings, Hunt and Lewis COMPLETELY changed the line and I have a feeling his success in choosing blue chip guys will continue.  Look at the panthers’s rep for FA signings in the past. By and large, it’s been guys 1 year past their prime who had an injury and suckered our GM in to a crippling contract. We never get nice things. When was the last time this team signed 2 young blue chip studs  in the same offseason to contracts worthy of their impact? Ever?  Im telling y’all, players respect and trust Morgan.
