The answer is that his first two seasons his head coaches were David Culley and Lovie Smith. If the guys in Carolina suffered developmentally from the staffing churn then I'm sure Houston's guy had similar issues.

Plus Davis Mills sucks.

So what you're saying is that Bryce's rookie season was the OL's fault... ? I'm not understanding the point you're trying to make other than you hate that Bryce Young is the Panthers' QB1.

No..i never said that. It was clearly a combination of things. Bryce also didn't do his o line any favors in a lot of the sacks but non the less the o line was fixed and he still looked worse the first 2 weeks and then he was benched.

Of course your not understanding my point, cuz you don't know how to take anybody being objective of Bryce since the day he got here. Thats nothing new.

Damn what has happened to Stroud? Tank Dell that good? I don’t care about the Texans so this is the first time I’ve watched them this year

They've had a good bit of injuries to deal with this season. I'd say that's been a big part of it.

The team has not done well run-blocking wise according to PFF. They lost two subpar OL that overperformed last season (Deiter + Fant) and have two players that are playing better, but the interior OL still struggles. Stroud isn't playing as blessed as he was last season, but it's hard considering how many sacks he's taken this season.

Texans had two starters on the O-line out today. Given how pass protection has been an issue for them this season already... yeah, results are kinda expected.

Also another big problem of having mid-week games; guys just don't get the time to get healthy enough to get back on the field.

Impossible to tell until they actually play in the NFL.  Until then, its just a guess.

Yes, which is what everyone does every draft. As I stated, this draft appears to be a pretty big QB stinker.

Remember the notoriously poor class prediction on the 2022 QB class? Well as it stands only one of the QB's drafted(Mr. Irrelevant, Brock Purdy) is likely to see a second contract with his draft team. Literally every other QB drafted is on another team and a backup just two years later.

This draft isn't that far off, aside from perhaps Sanders and Ward.

I like Ward. I don't like the rest of the class. If we want to take a crack at a mid to late round guy I might be inclined to go with the GT kid. I don't know if he's an NFL QB but he's got that dog in him.

Mid to late is the time to gamble on a QB but I honestly wouldn't.

Take a gamble on an OL/DL/special teams guy which actually fill a big need.

It's cheap and easy to get a mediocre 3rd string QB every offseason.

    • Dave in a presser gassed up Anthony Tyus III and dying to see him on the field.  I mean 3 is all that needed right, and Dan loves etienne. He's one year filling in his body. If brooks is back, toss in chubba, thats 3.
    • After seeing hits in the last two UDFA pools, I do not in this group sorta of a let down after I gassed myself up.  Not like I know of their games, but just expected more. The duke DT only has to beat out hunte (2025 UDFA) or Ray (DL coach's kid) or even Cam Jackson mid 2025 5th.  I thought they would bring in more edges, IOL, TEs, etc...
    • My 2 favorite picks, since you didn't ask? 3. Brazzell II.  A 1000 yard WR with 4.37 speed and checks all the boxes for a Z Wide Receiver.  IN THE THIRD ROUND!!! 5.  Sam Hecht.  I think he will take over as the starter at some point this season and never look back.  IN THE FIFTH ROUND. Runner Up:  2. Hunter:  We were targeting a DT early in this draft because we did very little to replace Robinson in free agency.  Hunter was our guy and he will start. In addition to that, you got a starting tackle that should man one side of the new OL we will build for Bryce's second contract. A starting WR, offensive lineman, defensive lineman and possible Offensive tackle (at some point during this year from this draft will start.  UNREAL. In addition, I don't doubt that Wheatley (5th round) takes the FS job by next year and Lee III is Jackson's replacement in 2027.   Finally, even Kuwatch should be a special teams demon and LB depth.   Last year's draft was so good it was ugly.  This one will turn out to be uglier.  No offense Basbear--this ain't about you.
